God is good. I’m have this issue right now lol. I installed another aftermarket one still battery light on. It’s putting out 14.3 volts with no load but my hondata says it’s only putting out 13.7 and the battery light is flickering. God bless you brother
I put a new alternator in my 2003 monte carlo. It had a 105 amp alternator, and I was too low of voltage. So I got a 270 amp alternator and it fix all the problems I had.

This was not the case for wife's base model rsx k20a3. The first advance alternator did go bad after a month or 2 but the 2nd one has been good for over a year w/ no batt light

Hey! I know you sold your 6th gen a good while ago, but would you be able to impart some knowledge on me? I currently have a 5MT 97 LX that I’m gathering parts for a mini me swap for (y8). Currently have the y8 head, P2P ECU for the 5MT, and the y8 intake manifold. However the manifold I got was also for a 5MT, and as I understand it, has a different IACV and mounting point for that, which evidently isn’t preferred for a mini me. My question is: Would I still be able to make this intake manifold work, and what sort of modifications or parts would I need to achieve that goal? Cheers from down the road at Fort Hood/Killeen

I’m having the same issue, I was on a road trip with my wife and kids and the alternator took a 💩 on my odyssey. Went to a Honda dealer, didn’t have the alternator in stock and it will cost$600 must have been the Land Rover shirt I was wearing lol. I was a Acura mechanic for twenty years and I know how finicky these cars are. Went to advance auto parts picked up a “new” alternator and installed it with my wife help had a 500 mile drive home the battery light started to go on and off in traffic but we made it home.
K20a3 and K20a2 oem alternators are discontinued from the dealer.. Also aftermarket Denso for K20a2 have been unavailable since 2020 😭 My aftermarket alternator on my a2 just went out after a year 😢
Omg!!!!!! Thank you so much for putting this video out. We’ve been chasing this problem since December. We Spent about $1000 and you nailed it!!!! That is exactly what was wrong. Unfortunately the OE Alternator is discontinued, so we sent it to our rebuilder and he replaced the Voltage Regulator in the alternator with a premium regulator and the light is finally out! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!!!

One thing to mention is if you have extra stuff in your car like a subwoofer dash cam under glow etc when doing the tests on voltage for your alternator or battery unplug all of that and see if the battery light goes away I has this happen to me and realized they were pulling to much voltage ended up with a dead alternator after I came out of work luckily I lived 5 mins away so I made it home but this is just a tip one of you may have the same problem I had
I have the same issue with my 1999 Honda CR-V. The original Denso alternator failed after 20+ years; do they sell rebuild kits for them? Because I am having the same issue with these store bought alternators.
New AC/Delco Gold alternator, new battery, new belt/tensioner, new ELD... Battery light on. Scan tool shows Alternator load 60-95% until it isn't. Drops to 0% (no output), battery V drops below 11.5V and then battery light and a P16BC (FR/IG open circuit). Rev the engine and alt randomly re-engages at some point, until it drops out again. So frustrating.

Wow! This one comes with a 80amp but I put in 120amp I believe

Good stuff. Iv gotta trace wiring and figure out where my power draw is at. After a few days of not driving or starting the car my battery died

Had the same problem with my rsx got 3 different alternators from oreilleys and then finally autozome one made the light go off

Its maxpeedingrods stereo and you can adjust that stuff in the settings i did a video on it.
