But Troy was the first down south solo rap artist who I really was into their catalogue and movement. Songs like "4 My Hustlaz", "Eternal Yard Dash", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Above The Law", and "Champion" were a part of my time as a young man in college learning my way and having fun. I know he feels he should have gone further. Politics play into that and maybe some decisions he made. But everybody has their time and I understand him wanting to transition to other things in life. But from 98' to 03' I feel Troy could have held his own on a track with anybody in rap history.
