When I use the Treadmill activity on my Garmin Forerunner 245, it's supposed to shut off the GPS just like the Run Indoors activity. But my run never shows a real distance. I can run for 30 minutes and the distance reads 0.1 every time. No idea how to fix it to make it work indoors.
I did it wrong once - per accident. I selected trailrunning instead of treadmill running. Same effect, distance 0.1 :) Is it possible you accidentally selected the wrong action?

Having same problem on my 220. I am not getting distance nor pace when running on treadmill.
I contacted Garmin, this is not possible on a Forerunner 220
