@protikbaruah9053 Yes, it is mandatory. It is checked 2-3 times on the way and you have to deposit copies to them. Also you need to get permissions from Tawang District Collector office. It is fast and easy process.

@subhendusekhar5237 there is no network at all once you crossed Tawang town. There is only one homestay in Damteng town, so you can easily find it. There is BRO Canteen where you can eat and in worst case BRO (Gref) brothers wii provide you accomodation as well in their Barracks.
