There is a collaboration on you tube started by Jessica at Three Rivers Homestead to do No Spend Challenge Jan/Feb and March and that includes groceries. This has been going on for at least the last 5 years and other you tuber channels accept the challenge to join in as well as all of us viewers. I have made it 3 weeks but each year I challenge myself to try harder. This only happens when you keep a long term storage of food which all of us continually strive to do by making our own foods from scratch as much as possible or stocking up on sales and putting it in our long term storage pantry. Its not hard to do 5 cans a week when you are shopping will give you 260 cans at the end of the year.. those cans can be fruits/vegetables/canned meat/raviolli/soups things like that which come in handy during a financial emergency, weather issues/ things like that. And the money saved can go in to paying off bills, creating a emergency savings plan. Anna In Ohio
If you shop because you are bored, unwind, or spend time with friends, just go to some thrift stores instead and tell yourself what you are looking for. I love Christmas shopping, and for the past few years I buy decorations thrifting and I've asked friends and family if we can do second hand gifts instead. Everyone has been up to it. My go to are vinyls, good coffee table books, and kids just love unwrapping so they are easy. For teachers, and other people I'm not close with I just buy them tea. It's not expensive and just a nice gesture, I wrap in my kids art.
I love your ideas and giving tea to the teachers is great I would give biscuits to teachers years ago when boys were young I could not afford chocolates well done to you
I'm old, retired and collecting social security and a small pension, At the end of the month I go on a 10 day no spend spree, not because I want to but because I have to, And Donald Trump wants to cut my social security payments after he takes the oath of office,
I haven't had any debt for 20 years, can I get a cookie? I bought bitcoin 10 years ago and Nvidia 4 years ago..... I'm chilling...... And single ladies
This is old, but happy to see people embracing it and creating prosperity for their families ❤
My trendiness is just growing. First underconsumption core, and now dollar stretching. At this rate I’ll be on the cover of magazines everywhere. 😂
Buy what you need, not what you want!!
Very well shared, You got this right, take your direction and people would all of the sudden have extra money. Lance.

The concept of doing no-spend weeks or months or years has been around for *decades*
It used to be a way of life
This has been on youtube for years. No spend year, etc.
I still have both my stimmy checks

Buy only what you need to survive,
Big business owners will go broke,
The rich will become less rich,
This is something many of us have been doing all our lives.
I can’t believe this is news!
This is nothing new it's just all about being responsible and not buying useless junk!
This is old. Go check the budgeting community.

This is not new. If you follow TH-cam, these people are all over the place.
