I JUST read your description (bad subscriber, bad, I know) but trust me when I say you HAVE to complete the original trilogy at the very least! If the first game changed your perceptions, the whole of the trilogy will just blow you away, I PROMISE YOU. At the very least, if you don't have the time to play them (college and all that, again, congrats!), watch it or something. The overarching story, the characters, the callbacks to past events and plot points, and every twist and turn you find each turnabout is a beautiful, beautiful thing. Ace Attorney was the game that changed a lot of things for me, but I guess that's the core principle of the game; changing ways of thinking and perspectives to find the truth.
insaneintherainmusic yeah, I watched the first Episode of the Anime right after finishing the game. And wow, the first 2 games were already great, but Trials and Tribulations is even better, especially the music and the storytelling. You should definitely play it as well asap insaneintherainmusic, I am sure you will love it ;)
