This was not their best vocal performance. I don't know if it's the microphones, the sound quality ,they're tired or a mixed of all three but this performance ,vocally, wasn't good. Which is a damn shame because they all look so pretty these outfits were to die for. But word to all the haters, like as everyone else have been saying these girls are dead tired. They do way more then "just singing and dancing" Some of them have radio shows and reality shows and photoshoots. Not to mention that they are filming for their own show now. Also not to mention the plethora of other activities that SM be having them to do. So please let up on them they already stressed enough.

I heard that they were sick, it's possible they were. Maybe they just got off a plane from a tour elsewhere and are tired. We don't know. So many people are giving Seohyun crap over her voice cracking in the beginning and Tiffany's getting hate cause she didn't sing her high notes. Everyone has had their voice crack while talking and singing, it happens to everyone. Seohyun bounced right back though. Tiffany is still sick bless her heart, I really hope that whatever she has isn't putting to much of a strain on her vocal chords. Hasn't she already had one major surgery on them in the past? :(
The people that give them hate are the people that hasn't tried learning this jumping and spinning dance is too tiring. But is obvious their tired they need rest from yesterday. Yuris morning pic makes it obvious their tired and Tiffany sounds like she has strained her voice again.
Many fans dont know that Tiffany had vocal nodules between 'Gee' and 'Genie' era. She had to have a surgery in it. Let me all remind you guys, vocals nodules hurts, even while just talking so imagine when she sings!!! That's she had a surgery, and there is always a consequences for vocal surgeries. What happened to Tiffany after surgery is her voice, it became extremely husky. Even while taking she sounds like the words she is saying is fading, it's really husky. Tiffany always try to hide her husky voice, sometimes she sounds nasally when she does it. On other days, Tiffany doesn't sound husky, but if she strains her throat again because of her natural loud voice. OMG I will be on extreme worry mode.
That's y I said she strained her voice too much, but seriously she has always had husky voice since debut , what the surgery did to her was ruin her ability to sing high notes or maintain her keys, if u listen to beginning u see that her lovely high note their with her husky voice. husky singers are awesome there voice is good for instance hyorin, they sound like jazz singers or blues singers, Tiffany still has her husky voice but just high notes are hard for her now. So as I said she sounds like she has strained her voice a lot just wish they will all rest and I agree with u people forget what these girl go through , Tiffany with her surgery .

It wasn't their best performance but this was pretty good for a live performance considering that they have been really busy and had jam-packed scheds. Props to Sooyoung, Yoona, and Hyoyeon for keeping the energy high.
People are acting like this was terrible.. Yeah it was their best but it's their raw voices all the solo part had no backtrack to it. Plus let's remember along with shows and performances, they are practicing for the other 2 comebacks coming in August. It was a little weird Taeyeon hid her face in the end.. Hopefully she's okay.

Maria Gomez I have been a dancer my whole life, and it never stops being hard to breathe after you've been dancing for a minute, or three for that matter. Whenever I dance for that long I'm always panting, and it's worse when you are performing, and to have mics hooked up to you that intensify every move you take it can be really hard not to breathe as to not disrupt the song and singing is all about your breathing. If you don't have enough air you can come up a little flat, especially with notes that are on the top of your range, and when you're already frustrated that you can't breathe you can become easily upset if your note didn't come out perfectly. I hope she was able to catch her breath and not let it get to her, because we all know she can sing wonderfully! SNSD FIGHTING!!
MsYogaGrrrl As the people below said, it doesn't matter how long they've been doing it, it's hard to sing and dance. If you've never done it before, then you should try doing it yourself. It's not an excuse. It's truth. :/ Try singing Let It Go and dancing/jumping around. You will get breathy and you will sound different. They are humans, not robots. I also think that comparing architects to singers is like comparing oranges and apples. :P
It's actually more than 6 maimed performing. If u include the comeback stage it makes 9 performances and other shows like guerrilla date, radio appearances and more schedules at the back that we don't know yet... So thy are like really tired and it's hectic
I feel like their microphone volumes are way too loud? Because usually the voices blend in with the background music but for this performance, their voices are overpowering the background, which probably confused them/their pitch!
Tiffany's "Hey girls" sounds like her throat hurts her so bad :( She sounds sick in past 2 weeks, it's so sad and it's clear that this is not a bad vocal, cuz she's a great singer, but she needs to rest ASAP.
You wouldn't be at your best if you've been promoting for 10 days straight with very little rest. They, as well as all the other groups, will lip-synch sometimes during concerts to save their voices. I think they should have done that here. Anyway, considering everything, I think they did pretty darn good. Soshi Fighting! ^^

Yes, we all agree it's tiring to perform so many days straight, but do not forget they are being paid to be perfect, which is the same as saying: they can't make one single mistake. We all sympathize when a stage accident happens, but this is something they can and will always control, this is no accident, it's their voices and with so much experience and so many previous promotions (much harder in my opinion) they shouldn't have these moments of anarchy.

I love SNSD and Taeyeon is my favorite female kpop idol but some hardcore fans need to try to understand the perspective of the people who are not fans of Kpop idols, before yelling at others to make them understand that these idols have personal lives. Do you really think they care about how tired and busy these artists are?? Unfortunately, not really. I'm pretty sure everyone has a basic logic that celebrities are humans and they deserve to live their own lives. But people pay to listen to their music and see their performances. Performing on that stage is a job to them, and is a dream to some people. It is very natural to see people judging on artists not being professional on stage because that's what these artists need. If people like some fans here were all soft on celebrities, it would just be like serving them as real kings and queens or something. If these artists don't act professional for like 4 minutes then some people definitely will be harsh on them. They chose this road, not us. I understand why some fans are frustrated but this is the reality so some fans need to learn how accept the judgement.
This is just my opinion But my point of view exactly. I understand that they have been promoting alot, that they have personal lives, and that they have certain health issues but this performance was not good at all. Simple as that. The performance isn't what bothers me but how some fans act. When people comment that the stage wasn't good some fans jump to snsd's rescue with excuses that they had this or they had that. Im not trying to say that whatever happened or is happening doesn't matter but fans have to understand that this is they're job and they will be criticized like everyone else. These girls know what they were getting into. They're not rookies but a girl group that has been in the business for 8 years now. A group known as "The Nation's Girl Group" I know that dancing and singing at they same time is not easy but I hope that after 8 years of performing plus training years of practice that there would be improvement in someone's singing and dancing ability over time. I've seen groups with better performances yet in similar circumstances. Actually alot of kpop groups go through the similar 'work till the bone' situation. Work is work. There shouldn't be excuses. All I'm trying to say is that if snsd has a bad performance i hope that fans can accept it or acknowledge it better by without having to automatically reply or excuse them so much because something was affecting them.
Whoa keep it up Yoona! She's usually my least favorite member but on this performance I liked her a lot! Other members seem really tired, which is completely normal because of their tight and demanding schedule, and it shows for example with Taeyeon looking a bit rough and not smiling at all, Tiffany needing a rest vocal-wise, Sunny being a bit lazy when it comes to the choreography or Hyoyeon barely making an effort to sing her lines loud like other members... And those are actually some of my favorite members, so I'm no hater criticizing blindly like other people do, lol. But Yoona definitely was great today!

When people say that other idols have it harder without all the luxury of SNSD, what do you guys think the price is for that luxury?! We all know SM is known for working their idols to the bone and in addition *because* SNSD is so famous, they have so much stuff to do and are probably over-scheduled. I'm not saying that they're not privileged, but where they have the advantage, they also have had to give up a lot. Yes all idols have to go through a lot but idols who are less famous have hardships because they dont have enough work whereas famous idols have too much work.

If you compare this performance to the one the day before on Music Bank (which in my opinion was my favourite "party" performance so far), you can clearly tell the girls are tired and becoming ill. Especially Taeyeon and Tiffany. They both look tired and you can tell their voices are strained. I hope they can take a break from promotions to get better before the Lionheart & You Think promotions start. SNSD fighting!!!
Seohyun still gorgeous and beautiful... They are just hard working that's why.. Don't hate them..People are not perfect.. We have our limitations and despite of everything we should understand them if their voice sometimes bad..
Have some sympathy please, they're humans, you can't expect them to not get sick and to not have feelings. Taeyeon didn't look that mad, imo, she prob had a lot on her mind and was too distracted to smile maybe. In the end she tried her best despite her mood and condition, I mean, it was obvious all of them were physically and mentally exhausted. You could tell they've been working their asses off before this live stage, in fact, they've been working their asses off even before debut so let's give them a break and encourage them to do better instead. I'm sure they'd prepare a lit perf if they were at a better condition. As SONES, we know they have that potential but as of now, they need some rest.
And just saying, it doesn't matter if you are a pro or not, if you're sick, your vocals will sound off. Tiffany did a fine ass job managing to sing and smile thru for us. Hands down for her.

It's clearly obvious that all of them are trying to catch their breath. It's a very energetic dance and they've been doing it for days. I've done musicals and that is exactly how we all sound when we have to sing as well as we can and dance at the same time. Especially Taeyeon, near the end you can hear her trying not to strain her voice. Poor girls. SNSD fighting!
All idols now have 6 music shows a week. Thats only 1 day of 'rest' and the remaining you must sing & dance your heart out through all pre recordings and live performances at least 3 times a day. That puts immense pressure on singers' vocals and physically as well, not to mention the fact that music shows are NOT the only schedule they have for the day. Inki's the last of them all and its blatant to see and hear Taeyeon and Tiffany being sick, if not strained at least. And for whatever reason, it sounds as if they (inki) played the INSTRUMENTAL with minimum backing track which all singers require for a good performance (especially idols for their dancing). The conditions the girls' ended up in were unfair and limited, but they tried their best. This might not be their best performance but given the circumstances that they were in, they did well.
Ok, now, to all those who thought this performance sucked, there's no excuse for their voices, & should've done better... Let me see you become a KPOP idol and live their daily lives during promotion, and being perfect every single day at every single hour without failure. Cause I would love to see your point on why snsd should be doing great and be happy every single time they perform without rest. I get that they're professionals and should've pushed harder but have you ever heard of a limit? They're human, let's remember that. They're company don't treat them like human so how about we do them a favor and actually appreciate they're still standing and holding a performance instead of fainting or getting hurt or anything.

don't get me wrong. I'm not hating okay, but fans should accept the fact that some idols can't perfectly sing live. That there would be times that it would sound bad or aweful. Instead of telling "she's sick" or "she's tired" ALL THE TIME even if they're not really sick, just accept their mistakes because nobody is perfect. And this performance proved that they need Jessica. If there would be another performance without a backup vocal and they all need to sing live, like really live, with this high pitched song. I think they need Jessica, we all known her having the high pitched voive. This is why every member of the group is important, each of them play a big role. Ot9 is so much better.

The media really is exaggerating! Taeyeon didnt really skip the dance step. Well her vocal does definitely the poorest here but heyyy she has been under pressure. Be happy that she still sing and dance along with the rest. She even tried to be cheerful as the song fit though each of her gleeful facial only lasts for a second or two. The point is she tried!
Actually...this was a lot better than I expected. I wouldn't be surprised if other performances of theirs that people like more were autotuned and/or had much more backing track. I much prefer to hear their actual, live voices instead of the same digitally enhanced voices I can hear on the recording.

this was the performance where Taeyeon got involved in a controversy of performing timidly. At times like this, the non-vocals of SNSD sing better compared to the assigned vocals, but one thing is sure they did great in showing camera loveliness and dancing.

The people that give them hate are the people that hasn't tried learning this jumping and spinning dance is too tiring. But is obvious their tired they need rest from yesterday. Yuris morning pic makes it obvious their tired and Tiffany sounds like she has strained her voice again.
Many fans dont know that Tiffany had vocal nodules between 'Gee' and 'Genie' era. She had to have a surgery in it. Let me all remind you guys, vocals nodules hurts, even while just talking so imagine when she sings!!! That's she had a surgery, and there is always a consequences for vocal surgeries. What happened to Tiffany after surgery is her voice, it became extremely husky. Even while taking she sounds like the words she is saying is fading, it's really husky. Tiffany always try to hide her husky voice, sometimes she sounds nasally when she does it. On other days, Tiffany doesn't sound husky, but if she strains her throat again because of her natural loud voice. OMG I will be on extreme worry mode.
That's y I said she strained her voice too much, but seriously she has always had husky voice since debut , what the surgery did to her was ruin her ability to sing high notes or maintain her keys, if u listen to beginning u see that her lovely high note their with her husky voice. husky singers are awesome there voice is good for instance hyorin, they sound like jazz singers or blues singers, Tiffany still has her husky voice but just high notes are hard for her now. So as I said she sounds like she has strained her voice a lot just wish they will all rest and I agree with u people forget what these girl go through , Tiffany with her surgery .

It wasn't their best performance but this was pretty good for a live performance considering that they have been really busy and had jam-packed scheds. Props to Sooyoung, Yoona, and Hyoyeon for keeping the energy high.

Maria Gomez I have been a dancer my whole life, and it never stops being hard to breathe after you've been dancing for a minute, or three for that matter. Whenever I dance for that long I'm always panting, and it's worse when you are performing, and to have mics hooked up to you that intensify every move you take it can be really hard not to breathe as to not disrupt the song and singing is all about your breathing. If you don't have enough air you can come up a little flat, especially with notes that are on the top of your range, and when you're already frustrated that you can't breathe you can become easily upset if your note didn't come out perfectly. I hope she was able to catch her breath and not let it get to her, because we all know she can sing wonderfully! SNSD FIGHTING!!
Not to mention they are doing extensive choreography and singing and dancing is not the easiest thing when you start to run out of breath a little lol
MsYogaGrrrl As the people below said, it doesn't matter how long they've been doing it, it's hard to sing and dance. If you've never done it before, then you should try doing it yourself. It's not an excuse. It's truth. :/ Try singing Let It Go and dancing/jumping around. You will get breathy and you will sound different. They are humans, not robots. I also think that comparing architects to singers is like comparing oranges and apples. :P

You wouldn't be at your best if you've been promoting for 10 days straight with very little rest. They, as well as all the other groups, will lip-synch sometimes during concerts to save their voices. I think they should have done that here. Anyway, considering everything, I think they did pretty darn good. Soshi Fighting! ^^

We all sympathize when a stage accident happens, but this is something they can and will always control, this is no accident, it's their voices and with so much experience and so many previous promotions (much harder in my opinion) they shouldn't have these moments of anarchy.

I love SNSD and Taeyeon is my favorite female kpop idol but some hardcore fans need to try to understand the perspective of the people who are not fans of Kpop idols, before yelling at others to make them understand that these idols have personal lives. Do you really think they care about how tired and busy these artists are?? Unfortunately, not really. I'm pretty sure everyone has a basic logic that celebrities are humans and they deserve to live their own lives. But people pay to listen to their music and see their performances. Performing on that stage is a job to them, and is a dream to some people. It is very natural to see people judging on artists not being professional on stage because that's what these artists need. If people like some fans here were all soft on celebrities, it would just be like serving them as real kings and queens or something. If these artists don't act professional for like 4 minutes then some people definitely will be harsh on them. They chose this road, not us. I understand why some fans are frustrated but this is the reality so some fans need to learn how accept the judgement.

But my point of view exactly. I understand that they have been promoting alot, that they have personal lives, and that they have certain health issues but this performance was not good at all. Simple as that. The performance isn't what bothers me but how some fans act. When people comment that the stage wasn't good some fans jump to snsd's rescue with excuses that they had this or they had that. Im not trying to say that whatever happened or is happening doesn't matter but fans have to understand that this is they're job and they will be criticized like everyone else. These girls know what they were getting into. They're not rookies but a girl group that has been in the business for 8 years now. A group known as "The Nation's Girl Group" I know that dancing and singing at they same time is not easy but I hope that after 8 years of performing plus training years of practice that there would be improvement in someone's singing and dancing ability over time. I've seen groups with better performances yet in similar circumstances. Actually alot of kpop groups go through the similar 'work till the bone' situation. Work is work. There shouldn't be excuses. All I'm trying to say is that if snsd has a bad performance i hope that fans can accept it or acknowledge it better by without having to automatically reply or excuse them so much because something was affecting them.
Whoa keep it up Yoona! She's usually my least favorite member but on this performance I liked her a lot! Other members seem really tired, which is completely normal because of their tight and demanding schedule, and it shows for example with Taeyeon looking a bit rough and not smiling at all, Tiffany needing a rest vocal-wise, Sunny being a bit lazy when it comes to the choreography or Hyoyeon barely making an effort to sing her lines loud like other members... And those are actually some of my favorite members, so I'm no hater criticizing blindly like other people do, lol. But Yoona definitely was great today!

I agree with the Hyo thing. She is one of my favourites and I've always liked how strong she normally sounds when they are doing live performances like this. She doesn't have the best voice, but she use to sound stable and aware of what she's doing/singing.
I'm going to stick up for hyo and say she was more stable than the others other than tayeon she did good I mean I seen her sing better but come on the dancing is more up beat

When people say that other idols have it harder without all the luxury of SNSD, what do you guys think the price is for that luxury?! We all know SM is known for working their idols to the bone and in addition *because* SNSD is so famous, they have so much stuff to do and are probably over-scheduled. I'm not saying that they're not privileged, but where they have the advantage, they also have had to give up a lot.
Yes all idols have to go through a lot but idols who are less famous have hardships because they dont have enough work whereas famous idols have too much work.

If you compare this performance to the one the day before on Music Bank (which in my opinion was my favourite "party" performance so far), you can clearly tell the girls are tired and becoming ill. Especially Taeyeon and Tiffany. They both look tired and you can tell their voices are strained. I hope they can take a break from promotions to get better before the Lionheart & You Think promotions start. SNSD fighting!!!

Have some sympathy please, they're humans, you can't expect them to not get sick and to not have feelings. Taeyeon didn't look that mad, imo, she prob had a lot on her mind and was too distracted to smile maybe. It's clearly obvious that all of them are trying to catch their breath. It's a very energetic dance and they've been doing it for days. I've done musicals and that is exactly how we all sound when we have to sing as well as we can and dance at the same time. Especially Taeyeon, near the end you can hear her trying not to strain her voice. Poor girls. SNSD fighting!
All idols now have 6 music shows a week. Thats only 1 day of 'rest' and the remaining you must sing & dance your heart out through all pre recordings and live performances at least 3 times a day. That puts immense pressure on singers' vocals and physically as well, not to mention the fact that music shows are NOT the only schedule they have for the day. Inki's the last of them all and its blatant to see and hear Taeyeon and Tiffany being sick, if not strained at least. And for whatever reason, it sounds as if they (inki) played the INSTRUMENTAL with minimum backing track which all singers require for a good performance (especially idols for their dancing). The conditions the girls' ended up in were unfair and limited, but they tried their best. This might not be their best performance but given the circumstances that they were in, they did well.
Ok, now, to all those who thought this performance sucked, there's no excuse for their voices, & should've done better...
Let me see you become a KPOP idol and live their daily lives during promotion, and being perfect every single day at every single hour without failure.
Cause I would love to see your point on why snsd should be doing great and be happy every single time they perform without rest.
I get that they're professionals and should've pushed harder but have you ever heard of a limit?
They're human, let's remember that. They're company don't treat them like human so how about we do them a favor and actually appreciate they're still standing and holding a performance instead of fainting or getting hurt or anything.

don't get me wrong. I'm not hating okay, but fans should accept the fact that some idols can't perfectly sing live. That there would be times that it would sound bad or aweful. Instead of telling "she's sick" or "she's tired" ALL THE TIME even if they're not really sick, just accept their mistakes because nobody is perfect. Just appreciate their efforts in doing something challenging instead of always defending "she's sick". Some of you might argue that "she's really sick", but not all the time she's going to be. We just have to accept that they're not perfect in singing live nor perfect in any other way, atleast they tried and that is hella courageous.

Actually...this was a lot better than I expected. I wouldn't be surprised if other performances of theirs that people like more were autotuned and/or had much more backing track. I much prefer to hear their actual, live voices instead of the same digitally enhanced voices I can hear on the recording.
