- Welcome back to our Red Dead Redemption 2 playthrough! In Mission #25, "Money Lending & Other Sins IV," we're diving into some gritty debt collection in Chapter 3.
*Gwyn Hughes:*
Our first target is Gwyn Hughes, an apprentice undertaker. We find Gwyn at the mortician's in Rhodes, hard at work on a coffin. When we confront him about his debt, he admits he can't pay and suggests a morally dubious solution. Together, we head to a church graveyard to dig up Mrs. Claypole for her jewelry. With a few folks lingering around, it's up to us to clear them out and guard the gate while Gwyn does the dirty work. Once the coast is clear, Gwyn hands us a diamond brooch to settle his debt.
*Winton Holmes:*
Next, we track down Winton Holmes, an unemployed refinery worker camping north of Strawberry. We wake him up and demand the money while helping ourselves to his stew. Winton claims he’s close to getting the cash by hunting a rare cougar. Reluctantly, we agree to join him. After a tense journey to the cougar's den in the mountains, Winton and I split up inside the cave. Tragedy strikes as the cougar kills Winton, but I manage to take down the beast and sell its pelt to cover the debt.
