Hi I'm in the process of building mine very similar to yours I have dug down 50-100mm and back filled with scalpings before laying ballast, have you found your track sink in any way??
A rail Bender. Sorry... But its true. PNP sell one for about £90.😜 link below: www.pnp-railways.co.uk/products/rail-bender-supplied-by-ride-on-railways/
Great project - like seeing new garden layouts started from the beginning. Nice music to sit back and watch you work.. Skål! Ron//
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved the video. It was nice to watch you work and see how you were doing it. Rob
thank you. Different scales give rise to different problems
Great video😁. I’m hoping to build a 5 inch garden railway in the next 2 years.
don't under estimate the volume of digging! its worth it , and it will get you fit!

Nice, would love to see the next update
it will be coming, but not for a while. thanks for your interest
5" is my dream ...
Ideally it needs far more space than I can devote. But we will still have fun!
Great video! What is the radius on your curves? 10 or 15ft?
5.8m radius. Roughly 18ft.
@@RanmoreCommonRailway Thanks for the help! I'm looking at a loco that needs a min 15ft radius and its good to see others layouts.
How did you bend the rails? silly question but..
