This London Production with (Decca) with Billy Sherwood at charge of the whole, is another of the legendary Paul Rodgers Tributes. Not only does he surrounds himself with some of the best Main Guitars (to remark Neal Schon, Jeff Beck, Richie Sanbora, Gary Moore, and David Gilmour among some others) but does a display of how good vocalist he is. Each time Rodgers appears with such artists at work with him, you can be sure to be offered a great collection of excellent music. Here, from The Hunter to Born Under a Bad Sign (with Neal Schon at Main Guitar as in the quick version of Good Morning Little Schoolgirl) and the two outstanding versions of Good Morning Little Schoolgirl, the whole cd deserves to be gotten. Another one not to be missed. ❤️👍🏻🤗😇

@@krsna1961 I truly appreciate that link. My respect for Paul has gone up a few more levels, and it was already way up there. This much is obvious: he seems to have an awareness of the deep appreciation his fans and supporters have for him, his formidable talents and his body of work that is and will always be his legacy, just as certainly as sycophancy, poor judgement and an enormous overvaluing of their worth and their influence will ultimately be the legacy of Jann Wenner, his magazine and its monument to its ego and pathetic delusions of taste, influence and significance.

Likewise. If you are a singer, you can learn so much from listening to him. His first band, Free, recorded "All Right Now" when Paul was 17, IIRC. Nobody else I've ever heard can project with that level of strength and stay consistently on pitch. It's like he was born with that power.
But not in the f***ing rock hall of fame. That mistake by the lake should be renamed the hall of shame.
      Edit.
Atlanta Rhythm Section, Bad Company, Free, Grand Funk, and Little Feat. I never had a chance to hear Bad Company or Grand Funk play live, and I don't know anyone who saw Free, I can report that both ARS and Little Feat were fantastic live, able to draw on an extensive assortment of original songs, allowing each member of the band to show their strengths and for the band to reveal their mastery of rhythm and melody, creativity that could install the occasional catchy hook, while avoiding overuse to the point of irritation. No formula was followed in their songwriting, yet their lyrics weren't vague, random or obscure. They were able to avoid being accused of defaulting to any one particular style, and while able to combine their individual strengths to create and maintain an enjoyable groove, and each one of them was comfortable with and adept at improvisation to keep their audiences from feeling bored or confused.
Free was more about the feel and the flow than form and rigid structure. I did see Bad Company perform in a pay-for-view context a few years ago, and it seemed they were more song-based than Free had been, Paul Rogers becoming more confident in the power and the range of his voice, and his ability to enhance a melodic line with a bluesy ad lib. They clearly enjoyed playing live and their audiences picked up on that. It's fairly clear when a band is just going through the motions, and Bad Company never displayed any sense of boredom or drudgery.
Many less talented bands with questionable credentials have been inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. Apparently, the particular qualities, talents and skills of a specific band are not factors under consideration by the nomination/selection committee members, from what I can determine. I think that means that Jann Wenner and Bruce Springsteen decide who's on the list of bands acceptable for nomination. It's 2024, and the punk era seems to be the hat that all nominees under serious consideration will be drawn from. The classic rock era has passed, enough bands of that extremely popular category have been admitted to the HOF. No matter how talented or popular or good they happen to be.
Badfinger is also not in the HOF. For the love of all bands completely screwed-over by A-holes on the business/management end of the music industry, rock and roll ought to dignify the band and tell their tragic tale. Their love of rock and roll, their ability to write and perform quality songs was taken advantage of by heartless bastards who might just as well have corralled the band into an elevator somewhere and murdered them.
People that love and respect rock bands by spending time, money and attention on the bands they love, but are completely outside the music industry should be allowed some role in the nomination/selection process for the hall of fame. No fan support=no fame, no glory, no riches for the vultures, the miserable sons-of-bitches that always take credit for any success of the musicians on which they prey.
