I think it was the patching part I’m trying to do. I want to change the Reading and Northern SD50 from Jointed Rail into a Fast Freight Service locomotive. Hopefully the patching will work.
hey! nice tutorial! it helped me make my first reskins. but I do have a question. when im trying to reskin some locomotives, with multiply mode, you can barely see the rectangles im trying to draw, and can barely see the text. Its like the Bump file has weathering that the map1 doesn't have. How do i fix this?
I had to turn on the CC because I couldn't understand what you were saying because the monotonous music was so loud. You really don't need music for these types of videos.
I am asking because I don't know. Why are you skinning the bump layer? What purpose do the additional layer you create do? Maybe you explained it, but I couldn't hear you over the music.
With older models the bump layer is your best way on making a easy blank map, but it’s very important to make sure when your saving your finished product on the map1 and not the map one bump, and the additional layer is for you be able to easily reskin the model without it looking weird, I’ll be making a better version of this reskin tutorial in the coming days since I rushed through a lot of the steps and as many people have said the music is to loud.
@@Flamerailzzz Much obliged. I am trying to learn reskinning, and right now I find that any model with PBR textures I don't know how to turn down the gloss effect.
The music was too loud lol I could barely hear what you were saying
And I was just looking for one of these tutorials too! Thanks again Flamerailzzz!
