When Pro Teams Lose to Amateurs

- Every now and then amateur teams win against pro teams. It's always a big shock when that happens. In this video you'll see amateur teams or very low league teams win against pro teams. The pro teams should always win, but sometimes they get humiliated by amateur teams. In my opinion it doesn't get better than that. That's why I dedicated this video to amateurs beating professionals.

Saarbrucken beating Bayern was something else 💀
crazy. they did it again to Frankfurt
@@Vanemas2The best part is that the wins were highly deserved, they played so well these games 😅❤
@@Vanemas2Saarbrücken plays in the 3rd tier. The lowest professional league in Germany. So they aren't amateures😅
Hercules is in the best league in the Netherlands Hercules is 9th in eredivisie
@@deanjgamesthats heracles
saarbrücken actually had a similarly crazy run in the 2019/20 I think DFB-Pokal when they where still fourth division and got to the semifinals
True haha
The story:
Saarbrücken beat Bayern from the cup in the second round. A few weeks after, they kicked Frankfurt out. The weekend after the second game, Frankfurt beat Bayern 5-1 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Frankfurt was after Bayern
@@clashero2117 that’s…… what I said.
And Bayern beat BVB 4 0 😂
@@italianoabernichtzuviel6698 Who asked? 😁😁😁🗿
mrbanana6492 And the next opponent was beaten, too! omg
thats why i say coppa italia needs a change. Top tier clubs rarely even play serie b ones, not to mention serie c or d ones who don't get any chance to appear. It's never going to be good for grass roots football and of course, I don't think Inter or Lazio would mind two extra matches involving their own substitute players. All the other top leagues give grassroots a chance; you sometimes see eighth division teams playing Spurs or PSG and Barcelona often makes trips to secluded places like Ceuta for a game. It really helps the whole nation in a positive manner. FIGC should act.
It’s boring seeing the same old big 8 in the round of 16
I agree, in Poland every single team gets a chance to compete in the Polish cup, even the ones from small villages in the worst division
Italy is shit,that's all.
Saarbrucken BEAT Bayern?! I’m surprised top tier clubs don’t sign that goalkeeper they have, he carried that match.
They already have one of the best goalies of the world
they beat bayern then the next game they got frankfurt so yes they ebat both of them back to back
The keeper is loaned from RB Leipzig
i want Saarbrucken winner of DFB-Pokar
@cooltrainerorote2257what divison are them?
nvm 3rd divison
@cooltrainerorote2257 yeah winner of dfb pokal automatically qualifies into Europa League unless the winner has already qualified for either Europa or Champions league in which case it goes to 6th in the bundesliga and 7th in the bundesliga goes to conference league qualification
Now they lose vs Kaiserlautern in semifinal cup. 👍🇸🇮
@@bostjanhribersek1205yea sad that we lose😢
We need a part 2 to this 😍
Ajax is pretty much an amateur team this season😂
The start of the season
@@danielbaetens1587 a start that was enough to end the season basicaly
Right
I hate that club
I hate you dont disrespect my club like that@@supermario528
Maidstone United's marvellous journey in FA Cup😱😱
They are telling Wrexham to hold their beer
That Saarbrucken deflection was insane
Saarbrücken is a professional football club tho right? I swear the 3 Liga is professional
Checken die im Ausland nur leider nicht.
True. 3 tier in Germany football league ranks is professional in 100%.
@@sprinterlul1194ja is halt so
Saarbrucken is a promising team, if they're scout top european players and improve club finances, stadium, kit & fans. They will be a class team
The team that made it to the ucl semi final(Ajax) a few years ago loses to an amateur club.
Thats crazy to think about
Lool also Ucl winners from 4 years ago bayern 🤣
The do play in the third division which is national and it is allowed to pay player. But to be fair, Hercules is one of the few teams in that division that is truly amateur ;)
After Frankfurt, Saarbrücken also knocked Mönchengladbach out of the DFB Cup. So they have won against Bayern, Frankfurt and Gladbach in succession
As Gladbach fan, I'm REALLY scared of Saarbrücken rn. lol
😅
And you were right
SSV Ulm - Eintracht Frankfurt DFB Pokal 2018 when Ulm knocked out the former winners in the 1st round.
I know it's not the same level but a few years ago I was asked to put a team together to play against a territorial army team who had won the equivalent of their FA cup.
We won and I remember after their captain said, we haven't played together recently.
A player on my team casually responded, we've never played together before.
Remember when Cyprus beat Spain in 1998 3 to 2?
Or the run of Calais Racing Union football club in the 2000 French Cup?
Just to clarify, as a Lincoln fan, we are also a professional team, and have been for well over 100 years, which includes that game against Burnley. Being in the lower leagues doesn’t make you an amateur team.
same goes for saarbrücken, the average players monthly wage there is 8000€, how the hell is that amateur?
I still remember when Mura ( small team from slovenian league) beat tottenham (with kane and son) in the last seconds of the game.
I know, is my country. And Maribor play 1 to 1 with Chelsea (Lampard, Terry, Ivanović, Cole...) my Slovenija 👍🇸🇮
@@bostjanhribersek1205 js sm tut iz slovenije :)
Pol se pa spomniš Maribora. Ampak to leto gremo pa mi v champions kvalifikacije, grofje šampioni 💪
nothing special really as top epl teams always get beaten by some minor european team from a very low level league. It's like a tradition at this point. Still great for that great for that slovenian side though
Football in slovenia is professional tho
3:20 German 3rd league is still a professional league, so Saarbrücken are not amateurs
Calling Saarbrücken an amateur team is not doing them right. Up to third divison is professional in germany. I would say fourth and fifth division is semi-pro. At least the better half of the Oberliga. And the rest are amateurs, but third dicision is not amateurs at all. But anyways, it is still cool, and we all hope for Saarbrücken to win as they take on Mönchengladbach, a next first division team.
Reminds of when a 4th or 5th division team from Berlin absolutely rolled over Hoffenheim a couple of years ago. Score was like 4-0 or something
FC Barcelona almost losing to a 4th tier side in the copa del rey and struggling against a 3rd tier side immediately after is wild. #SackXaviEarly
Edit: checked back at this a year kater and they did. Barcelona have successfully overcomed that and many other problems. Great going Barca!
Barcelona don´t have much money, they always using "palancas" because they need the money to buy new players. Greetings from a fan of other team of the 3rd division
0:54 CRITICAL HIT!
0:45 what a save
What about Sheffield Wednesday beating Newcastle last season a league 1 club knocks out a premier League club that also qualified for champions League in the same season
Who is here after ajax is now 2nd in eredivisie
good work bro keep doing theese things😊😊
I'm from maidstone and love it
3rd tier in Germany isn't an amateur league. It belongs to the pro leagues. Amateur leagues begin in the 4rth tier and lower. But Saarbrücken wins over Bayern and Frankfurt really were upsets. Tomorrow they play in the DFB-Pokal quarterfinal at home against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Even the 4th tier isn't amateur. Definitely pro teams there and semi-pro if not.
@@ALEX15here even the 5th tier is pro enough. I play in a 5th tier team and my team is a 100% pro team.
@@SuvroSawondo you get paid?
And they won 2-1 v gladbach
Ja aber er meint das richtige so halt
J'aime bien ce genre de match, quand des équipes moins fortes arrivent à vaincre des puissantes, c'est souvent amusant
Can't believe Auckland City in the 2014 Club World Cup isn't here! THREE wins against pro teams - the champions of Morocco, the champions of Africa and the champions of CONCACAF - as an amateur club (plus an extra time loss against the Copa Libertadores champions), eventually finishing third
wow thats crazy
There was also "Stuttgarter Kickers" (Formerly in German 5th div, now 4th) who beat "Greuther Fürth" (2. div) in the "DFB Pokal" 2-1 iirc
Did you know Hercules-Ajax and Utrecht-Psakenburg were played in the same stadium? Hercules didnt have the facilities at their home ground so FC Utrecht let them play in theirs, de Galgenwaard.
Could you do a video or even video series going over those smaller teams that have won the cup and qualified for Europe thanks to it?
2:16 it’s now 0-2
Alcorcon once beat Real Madrid in Copa del Rey & Man United lost to MK Dons in League Cup
Both ended 4-0!
6:12 what a dive.
Surprised that there is no coupe de france matches
Big upsets happen there
Rouen beating Mónaco on penalties 🤯
man Utd should really replace onana with the saarbucken gk 😂
SAARBRUCKEN ❤️🔥💯
Colchester Vs Tottenham will always be a classic

Bradford city chelsea is so needed here
Maribor, Slovenija 2 milion people vs Chelsea, champions leugue. 1 to 1.2014. Only Lampard o Terry Cost more then all our team. And we win to 81 minut but later draw. Great job for our small team. 👍🇸🇮
Spakenburg's KNVB Cup run is insanely underrated.
you forgot alcoyano vs real madrid , lockdown football at the time was crazy
That's why I try to avoid betting on big favorites.
When the ball is rolling everything can happen.
You made detailed infographics, including minutes of goals scored, but did not bother to write years when these matches happened. :(
In Austria SV Pasching won the cup as an amateur team.
Admiral Spakenburg?? does he have a saluting goal celebration as well? Would be so comedic
In terms of size, the Bayern loss has to be the biggest in club history, I am sure there are some insane National team losses
Honorable mention U.S women's team losing to retired players.
you forgot villarreal vs unionistas de salamanca
I'd honestly say, that there is a bigger quality diffrence between Man City and Sheffield Utd. that between Sheffield United, and Sutton Utd (1st place in the 5th tier of England).
saarbrucken is Pro team
Hercules is te best football team name😂😂
And nothing from the French Cup in which you have tons of incredible upsets to watch ? What about
Entente SSG - Montpellier
Rouen - Toulouse
Andrezieux - Marseille
Viry Chatillon - Angers
Carquefou - Marseille
Lyon Duchere - Nîmes
Rouen - Monaco
Heck you can name three amateur teams that made the finals since 2000 ! Quevilly, Calais and Les Herbiers
First Goal from Hercules looks same to the first Goal from Saarbrücken before
you forgot when xo beat the f2 in the wembley cup lol
Hercules ajax is one of the best things to ever happen 😂
I know you can't show every upset in this video, but there are some upsets that I found pretty shocking that you missed:
Go Ahead Eagles (Eredivisie Side) 1 - 2 (5th Division Side) Jodan Boys, 16/17 KNVB Cup Second Round
Alcoyano (3rd Division Side) 2 - 1 (Laliga Side) Real Madrid, 20/21 Copa del Rey Round of 32
Alcorcon (3rd Division Side) 4 - 0 (Laliga Side) Real Madrid, 09/10 Copa del Rey Round of 32
Kobenhavn (Danish Superliga Side) 0 - 1 (At the Highest, 3rd Division) Skovshoved, 99/00 Danish Cup First Round
Novelda (3rd Division Side) 3 - 2 (Laliga Side) Barcelona, 02/03 Copa del Rey Round of 64
Figueres (3rd Division Side) 1 - 0 (Laliga Side) Barcelona, 01/02 Copa del Rey Round of 64
Toledo (3rd Division Side) 2 - 1 (Laliga Side) Real Madrid, 00/01 Copa del Rey Round of 64
Судя по названию ролика , существуют только профессионалы в высшей лиги , а все остальные лиги - любительские.
Another one could be Almería losing to Barbastro or Villarreal losing to Unionistas de Salamanca
The Ajax one was the most humiliating. Their opponents were basically all amateurs, lots of them students.
Lost me at calling Lincoln City ,amateur." They were just 1 league below Burnley last year and they're in the English football league
Lincoln were an amateur team when that game happened 😂😂😂😂
You sir, need to learn reading😂
@@alekmallewe haven’t been an amateur side since the 1800s. We were a professional club when we beat Burnley. Being non-league doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not a professional team
@@smoreee5148even in the context of the time the game was played, Lincoln were a professional team. We’ve been a professional team since the 1800s, playing in the 5th tier doesn’t automatically make you an amateur team
Saarbrucken keeper was so good
bro you shouldve metioned Sherrif FC against Real Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League

Barcelona Bayern'i 4-1 yendi neden maç yok bu videoda;)
The two Saarbrucken wins against Bayern, amd Frankfurt was in the same season or no?
Yes, they should played yesterday against Gladbach but was postponed due bad weather.
Someone tell me why that last goal from Hercules reset their score...
Lincoln City may have been none league but certainly were not amateur either, still a great achievement from them tho
importance of tactics and coaching 😹😹

Only amateur club was Spakenburg in this vid. Rest were either pro or semi-pro.
Saarbrucken goin crazy
Saarbrücken use to play in the UCL

Tbh the german 3 division isn´t realy an amateur division. But Tuchel made Bayern look like a 3 division Team many times lol
Wales lost against Poland two days ago.
I heard a story that a few friends of a player from Hercules put 50€ on Hercules for some fun and they each won 10k€ or something hhahah
Saarbrucken isn’t an amateur team,it’s close to being one if they get relegated
Maidstone United is an actual amateur team that defeated 3 pro teams in fa cup so far and are amongst the last 16. You're minimising just how big their achievement was by filling the video with Pro vs Pro teams
Maidstone are semi pro, not amateur, there’s a big difference
It's when betting companies make fortunes by these matches
Sometimes the pro team is not pro to against the weak team
Legia Warsaw- aston Villa 3-2
Marseille in every national cup edition
