- This week we are covering how you can get your UKARA number which is a form of defence for buying an airsoft RIF in the UK.
This is 100% aimed at new players (IN THE UK) so don't watch if you already have one or know the process already (it will just be boring for you).

Everyone forgets to mention: the easiest way to remember is that yoy need at least 56 days or more between the first and third game, you can space it out with 3 months in between each game if you want to, just make sure that you have at least 56 days between first and third, and that it is within the 12 month bracket when going for the UKARA.
I am under 18 but I have someone over 18 who book my game days ,could they technically apply for the UKARA but I play the games ?? And use the Rif’s
@@cjbuckley8894 Nope. It has to be the person playing. They have no legal defence unless they play also so can't register a defence with UKARA. Gonna have to wait until 18.

I am housebound, and have been for 26 years. I want to buy these guns - not the colour-coordinated, disco variety - so, is that it? Is it already over? Am I absolutely wasting my time thinking that I'll ever have the guns, because I'm housebound? It certainly looks that way!

@@gamerleo2173 so I take it that you're only planning on using two toned guns then? Because if you obtain a UKARA number any other way, you're basically committing fraud.
I've bought guns from some shops and the shop took details and said it was due to it being a replica and it was registered to me so I didn't misuse it in a public place....an I gd to go or do I still need to play airsoft ? To be fully legal ?
So if I’m correct you can play your first 2 games when ever but you first and last game has to be 56 games apart

Can teens get a defence so they can use a black airsoft gun in a match and so they can own one or do they have to use two tones until they are 18 bc I'm chilling at 13 and I never been to a game bc idk how the defence worked

guys, i would suggest buying one from a store, look online and see if they have stores near you and buy one from there.
I think two tone is cool tbh personality I rock a lime green gun and have no trouble

Im a bit upset that I have to wait 9 weeks to bring my RIFs from Portugal. I have been an airsoft player for 20 years now. I wish I could just pay for a license or something and get them in quick :X Im flying to Portugal soon and would love to bring them back... still almost 6 weeks untill I get my UKARA :X

So are you able to purchase a two toned rifle and just turn up at a site or does it need to be registered. Say if you bought it on eBay
Doesn't need to be registered, infact there is no where to do so. UKARA only applies from buying at a retailer.

1 year then you need your site to renew it. AFAIK you need it shipped to your UKARA address

So.. I want to buy a 100pound airsoft and I have to spend 45 pound each game times 3 and wait for 3 months then I can finally buy a 100pound guns. WTF it costs me more for a ukara than an airsoft 😢

If I turned up to a local air soft ground in the U.K. With a black gun and don't have a ukara license ,will I not be able to play?
Harley Richmond they aren’t going to check for playing with one, it’s you wouldn’t be able to buy a gun (unless it’s two tone) from any store without a ukara number you don’t need to prove you have a ukara simply to own a non two tone weapon (for example there is no law stopping people giving them as gifts or lending players who don’t have a ukara number non two tone guns)
UKARA only applies to the sale of Airsoft RIFs not to own

If I was given a non two tone gun off a friend as a present and he got it as a present off one of his m8s and he bought it off someone who got it as a present from someone else??? Then thatd be fine right?

@@dnt1. the "soft" is in relation to the air, not the projectile. Soft air has low muzzle energy, and hard air has high muzzle energy. If you put a metal BB into an airsoft gun, it will produce (more or less) the same muzzle energy as a plastic BB.

ELA GRZMOT a ukara licence holder can purchase a RIF and gift it to a "civilian" legally in the UK s long as no money chages hands. (You can't buy the gun from them they gotta give you it pro bono a.k.a free of charge.)

You're wrong about UKARA being the only way to get an airsoft gun. You just contact a vendor and give them your ID.

No due to your age you cannot apply for a UKARA however if you are able to drag your dad for a few games then get him to apply.
Then yes you can it is some what as a loop hole he isn't allowed to buy guns for you however he is allowed to "gift" (although you can still give him the money)

no, doing that could get you and them in serious trouble, also the gun can only be sent to the UKARA number's address.
What a stupid set of laws we have. I have a full firearms license. Plus I can go buy a pellet air pistol no problem. But I can't buy a black bb gun without some special registration!

They were purchased and owned by the site which would be considered a defence plus they have insurance etc
Why do they all say over 18? You dont to own one. It's legally a toy. Also this defence is bs because no one wants to wait two months for a semi realistic gun, which is a toy
