    Helicopter paramedics in Britain have been trained to conduct mountain or sea rescues using Iron Man-style jet suits, even in strong wind and rain conditions. Developed by Gravity Industries, the jet suit is equipped with two micro-jet engines in each arm and three in a backpack, allowing rescuers to reach speeds of over 136kph (85mph) at over 3,650 metres (12,000ft).

    They should also make something similar to a gurney with this technology, that way the paramedics can just fly to an injured person put them on the gurney and just fly themselves and the injured person back

    • @jaynguyen1573
      @jaynguyen1573 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The only way the jetpack works is that the user stabilizes the flight using their arms. Only way a jet gurney would work is if there were some gimbals controlling the jet, but even then it'd be tough for the rescuer to control their jetpack and the gurney.

      Or how about drones with gurney that will follow the paramedics automatically? The possibilities are endless.

    I can see the application, helicopters are about twice as fast but require time to land and cleared leveled path, a combo of jetpack and helicopter could make the rescue faster by dropping them off close to the area and fly away

      The important part is reaching the patient quickly to stabilise them. If you can do that, their survival chances skyrocket.
      Sadly the tech isn't quite there for retrieval yet, but probably will be in time.
