I have a LEM chamber vac for bags but I just bought the Avid Armor Cellar Series: Reserve Chamber Vacuum. I love it because I can seal six quart jars inside the chamber at one time.
Congratulations on getting the Avid! I had considered getting one but am conflicted as pressure vacuum chambers do the same thing… and so does the HR Freeze Dryer: Take out your shelving and unplug it from the freeze dryer chamber, then put in one tray as a base. Add in Mylar bags, mason jars, whatever. Close the drain valve and close the door. Then on the main screen press the “leaf” and go into test functions. Turn on Vacuum (only) for about 2 minutes, and shut off. Open drain valve and remove your items all sealed. The part where you see the bag seal your bag of shells in the Avid is the same as opening your drain valve on the FD. You can seal 6 or more mason jars all at once. Of course, now you’re not putting freeze drying on hold with the Avid chamber, you can do double duty. But should you buy a 2nd freeze dryer with all that ad revenue from YT, you could convert one into a vacuum sealer and give the Avid to one of your users🤔😂! I’ve seen a video where someone only had the chamber, it might have been a pressure cooker, I’m not sure, and hooked it up to a vacuum pump. This was when I learned the HR can do the same thing.
Ok that’s so cool about using the freeze dryer as the chamber sealer - who knew!! Well you did so 👏👏👏 thanks for sharing that! It makes sense that it would work. I love all your knowledge 😃😃😃
What a coincidence! I just put one of those in my Amazon cart 3 days ago, then yesterday I went to purchase & it was out of stock. You took my sealer! lol :) Well at least I'lll get to see it in use before I get to buy it.
@@JaneDoe42011 that is such a coincidence!!! Ok awesome, you will love it!’ I am hoping to hear back ASAP but may not get the info until Monday :/ I’ll reply to you when I get the code!
Thanks! I'm a sucker for kitchen gadgets. Next on my list is a bread proofer. I keep hoping Brod & Taylor will come out with one that will fit 2 sourdough rounds. It seems pointless to buy their current one that only fits one round when my favorite recipe makes 2.

Some TH-camrs I’ve seen will flip the top of bag out a little to fill it. Then when it’s filled will I unflip(if that’s even a word). This keeps the top of bag from getting messy. I liked the idea when I saw it but haven’t tried it. You vacuum chamber looks awesome. Hope you have fun with it.
I have a VacMaster chamber sealer and it will seal 1 half gallon jar 2 quart jars and 4 pint jars all separately of course. Ypu do have to lay then down!.

You can also rehydrate freeze dried dishes using the marinate function!
Ok that is genius! What a good tip thank you!!
Yay Brooke!!! Awesome!! I have been pestering you about how awesome they are for a while :)
Yesss I’m so excited to join the club 🥳
Do you wish you had purchased one with a larger chamber?
Awesome channel and you're nice to look at, so bonus 😊
Thanks for watching 😃
That chamber sealer is so awesome I need one
Yes I’m excited for all of its uses 🥳
Fascinating what a great title machine! Congrats
Use caution with freeze dried fruit...they have a tendency to become a clump of mushed/crushed fruit.
I was wondering if fragile things would end up crushed…. Thanks for the heads up

Oh that’s awesome I need to see what size jars will fit in my chamber - that would be so convenient
my.channel is dedicated to avid armor tips and tricks! love that you have one too
Amazing I’m gonna subscribe!! I want to learn more uses for it!
You want to fold the lip of the bag down before you load, then unfold it when you are ready to seal…
Be careful with liquids, they will boil expand and overflow the bag into your sealer!
Ya that happened to me this morning 😂
Ok good tip to watch out for - thanks for the heads up !!
