Cheese flavored ice-cream is actually good. It's not the savory cheese that you might think. It's sweet and it's one of the favorites here in the Philippines aside from Ube (purple yam) flavor. Was won over by how Stell & Josh ran with the idea -- their confidence almost convinced me that "Bananarghini EL Mnoffee" was seriously the best name ever! I was laughing so hard when i watched it last night and again, as i rewatched it with you. I wish you could taste the Ube and Quezo ice cream. Quezo is one of my faves. The saltiness of the cheese goes well with the sweetness of the ice cream. They also made a lot of puns/double entendre like: Vulcanizing shop - it was very clever of Jah to relate wheel (the shape of the bread) and bulkan (volcano) together. Bonjour - Ken's play of the french word. He turned it into Bunso (the youngest, referring to Jah). Magdudurog - it means 'will crush' but at the same time, in street lingo it means 'taking illegal drugs.' Vanilla - Pablo said 'sabi nila (they say) which is similar to vanilla. actually QUEZO REAL is my favorite flavor among the Selecta Ice Creams 😊😊 We have a lot of ice cream flavors that are not common in any other countries. Some other unique ones i know are Chilli flavor and Mango Graham flavor.

My God, I missed them and Showbreak so much! Though I was thinking, this was filmed (a) shortly after the Fanmeet, (b) when the hashtag “who is sb19” trended on X, and (c) during the viral Gento remix tiktok dance, when little did we know that THAT issue has already crept in. That this was so brave of them to film, for them to put up happy faces for us. And they did a great job. Ken was specifically chipper here, coming from his gamemaster mode from the fanmeet and we love it! 😅 Now about ube ice cream…I watched another international fan’s RV and her face went 😲 when she saw the purple ice cream. It’s so yummy and popular here, they’re sold at the airport and packed well with dry ice so it can stand the journey. Josh was right, Ice cream sandwich is not the literal bread only. so many ice cream sandwhiches in the stores with the 2 grahams(whole piece) and with ice cream in between and they are called ice cream sandwhich. the only thing about what they did is, it requires more time to freeze it so it will be an ice cream. but they are all fun to watch. Mind you what peeps don't understand about the Ube flavor now trending that makes it a distinctly Filipino is that it is based on the Ube Halaya (jam) made with coconut milk giving it a dominant coconut flavor. Some desert places here in NYC use it as is and hits totally different. I feel the need to defend Quezo Real everytime (esp since it is assigned by Selecta as Josh's fave). The world enjoys cheese cakes, danishes, blintzes, sweet fromage crepes so I don't get why people knock it 😞 I am really quite proud of distinctly Filipino ice creams flavors.
Exactly! Cheesecake has cream CHEESE in it - still cheese. So why not use cheese in ice cream? Although, cream cheese is not salty. But then again, don't people eat fruit slices (like apple) with the salty cheeses? Or dip a fruit in melted camembert or brie?

I believe so too, If I were one of these winners, I'll be jumping up and down. Or perhaps could not talk for a while I will never as relaxed as they were as if talking to a neighbor. At 51 and a working Mom most my nieces and nephews could not even believe I love SB19, never have I ever stan any group from my younger years but I am totally smitten with STELL, no worries my husband is well aware of it. I just could not contain my happiness when seeing them perform not just their recent but in all their performances. WYAT era here.

I was laughing so hard when i watched it last night and again, as i rewatched it with you. I wish you could taste the Ube and Quezo ice cream. Quezo is one of my faves. The saltiness of the cheese goes well with the sweetness of the ice cream.
They also made a lot of puns/double entendre like:
Vulcanizing shop - it was very clever of Jah to relate wheel (the shape of the bread) and bulkan (volcano) together.
Bonjour - Ken's play of the french word. He turned it into Bunso (the youngest, referring to Jah).
Magdudurog - it means 'will crush' but at the same time, in street lingo it means 'taking illegal drugs.'
Vanilla - Pablo said 'sabi nila (they say) which is similar to vanilla.

Ube or Purple yam is very delicious even when you just cooked it as sweet delicacy like Halaya, a very popular dessert here. It is also good for ice cream or cakes or candies.

My God, I missed them and Showbreak so much! Though I was thinking, this was filmed (a) shortly after the Fanmeet, (b) when the hashtag “who is sb19” trended on X, and (c) during the viral Gento remix tiktok dance, when little did we know that THAT issue has already crept in. That this was so brave of them to film, for them to put up happy faces for us. And they did a great job. Ken was specifically chipper here, coming from his gamemaster mode from the fanmeet and we love it! 😅
Now about ube ice cream…I watched another international fan’s RV and her face went 😲 when she saw the purple ice cream. It’s so yummy and popular here, they’re sold at the airport and packed well with dry ice so it can stand the journey. Now about Quezo Real (cheese) ice cream…I’m personally a fan! 😅

Josh was right, Ice cream sandwich is not the literal bread only. so many ice cream sandwhiches in the stores with the 2 grahams(whole piece) and with ice cream in between and they are called ice cream sandwhich. the only thing about what they did is, it requires more time to freeze it so it will be an ice cream. but they are all fun to watch. I just keep on rewinding on the part of Bananarghini LMNOP😂

Mind you what peeps don't understand about the Ube flavor now trending that makes it a distinctly Filipino is that it is based on the Ube Halaya (jam) made with coconut milk giving it a dominant coconut flavor. Some desert places here in NYC use it as is and hits totally different.
I feel the need to defend Quezo Real everytime (esp since it is assigned by Selecta as Josh's fave). The world enjoys cheese cakes, danishes, blintzes, sweet fromage crepes so I don't get why people knock it 😞 I am really quite proud of distinctly Filipino ice creams flavors.
Exactly! Cheesecake has cream CHEESE in it - still cheese. So why not use cheese in ice cream? Although, cream cheese is not salty. But then again, don't people eat fruit slices (like apple) with the salty cheeses? Or dip a fruit in melted camembert or brie?
