The story behind this song is really touching. He explained why he made this song and what happened during filming at a fireside a few years ago. His mother loved Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and she had passed away a few years before he started filming. At the end where he sees the rainbow, it really was there. He said he felt that rainbow was from his mom showing how happy and grateful she was and that she truly loved him.

Thanks to you, I've been considering taking up an instrument for my school band, and even though I can't play piano or cello because it's band, I found out I'm actually pretty good at the clarinet, thank you so much!!!!
Talk to your band teacher if you are actually interested in playing cello. They play in the trombone/baritone range and key. You'd have to get private lessons but I have a cellist as a student in my grade 7 band class. He fits just fine.

Our 2.5 year old, Eli, always asks for this video at dinner time. We let him watch the beginning until the "blah-bah-bah"/piano comes in, which we always watch a few times in a row saying "blah-bah-bah" each time(:40-46ish). Then Eli begins mimicking the cellist's facial expressions, until he starts getting a big smile on his face and we hold our breath and waiiit....the grassy part comes in! and then we let him watch the rest of it. This is every night for about two weeks now and counting...
