    Congrats on the great addition to the collection. Btw, I don't mind your longer video's at all. The more info/description the better (imho). Gotta make a video showing the accuracy on the APC 223 and this beaut. Wish you had a long barrelled XCR-M to compare between this rifle and all the other .308 monsters you have.

    • @armandgun
      @armandgun  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do actually have an XCR-M with a 18.6" barrel. It's not the latest generation though, and I believe they were able to further dial in the accuracy in the newest guns. I will have to bug the distributor for a demo gun. Thanks again for your support!

      @@armandgun That's right, totally forgot you had one. And no problem brother, keep up the great work. If money is no option, the latest models of the XCR-L and a Bren 2/2s (not the Bren 2 Ms) would be an interesting comparison to the APC .223 in terms of accuracy. Obviously, it's not my money being spent but, if you were to compare those 3 rifles (in accuracy), the XCR-L would have to be configured in a standard or mini sized upper receiver. That way each rifle is similar in size (upper receiver, barrel length, twist rate, etc.). In terms of the B&T APC .308, the latest models of the XCR-M, a Bren 2 BR (if it ever imports in time), and the SCAR 17 would make for a great video. A lot of people are gravitating towards accuracy and reliability info more than ever now. So basically, we just need to get you a new gen XCR-L, a new gen XCR-M, Bren 2/2s, and a SCAR 17. In the U.S., those 4 guns would run ya around $10,000-10,500. Where you are, a lot more lmao.

    I'm glad that B&T is a higher end manufacturer that is actively trying to respond to market demands. H&K and FN seem only interested in bringing in pistols into the US and actively try to avoid bringing in rifles. They just sit with their thumbs up their butt until a military contract rolls around. The B&T firearms are one of the few that have genuinely excited me in the last decade. In the US, it is exceedingly difficult to find a dealer that stocks anything from them. Nowadays, it's just the cost of their products that is the primary barrier to entry. Heck, they sell a $400 brass catcher and a $600 stock.
    As for that folding charging handle, I'm a bit torn. It's convenient (and very cool)until you need to use it in an emergency...then it becomes very inconvenient and uncool. I'm curios what aftermarket parts people will come up with for the apc556. I see you have those rail panels and someone makes a charging handle and ACR adapter.
    PS how many cups of coffee and booger sugar you have before you do these videos? You talk so fast.

    supremely jealous....
    In my humble opinion this (or the APC 556) should be the next standard issue weapon for the Swiss Army.
    Considering it weighs pretty much the same as the Stgw 90, which is pretty much obsolete by now, but packs a much greater punch.
    I would love to see an accuracy comparison between the APC 308 and the G 28.

    • @armandgun
      @armandgun  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might be a little bit before I can get out and do some accuracy testing, but it is something I will aim to do. Agreed on the APC223. It's a fantastic gun. Currently my favorite sbr.

    • @rustyshackleford17

      Who knows what will happen in Switzerland. You're getting the same outside cancerous people immigrating from other countries moving in and destroying it...not unlike the US and people from California, New Jersey, and New York.
      It's post Cold War. Pretty much every country outside of the US is decreasing their military spending due to relative security. I have a hard time seeing the Swiss spending the money to rearm their military/law enforcement.

      Can't go wrong with an XCR-M! It's still my favorite .308 platform, though this apc308 is giving it a run for the money. If it had the XCR's ergs it might just do it.

    Debating on getting the LWRC REPR MKII or this B&T. I held the carbine version of the B&T in a LGS and it was super cool, and so is the REPR. I feel the 18+” barrel is a little unwieldy in comparison. I would like your thoughts on the balance of the B&T. Throw on the Elcan 1.5-6x with vertical grip and let us know! Appreciate the content.

    Just a question from a random plebian - how come the uppers for the 223 and 308 aren't monolithic? Is that to be able to swap stuff out? Aesthetically it's a tiny bit annoying :) There's that thin divide, and in the case of the 223 here, even a slight color tint difference.

      Disagree. I am quite invested in social media, and can guarantee posting pics and videos with tiny stubby mags in all the guns would not go over as well. Plus smaller mags are not as ergonomic. While they may be limited, full size mags are much easier to handle. Drums aren't, but they are there for aesthetic purposes.

      I'll be shooting it tomorrow and will be able to get an idea of what it's like. I have quite a bit of time with an XCR-M, and it has been my favourite for a long time. XCR platform still has the APC beat on ergonomics, but we'll see what this one is like to shoot. I would hazard a guess that it might be more accurate as well, thought I won't be testing accuracy for a little while yet.
