Beautiful. I cried tears with you. I am 69 too and watched my dear Christian mother die earlier this year. Total Victory. I know that feeling where it catches you and you have to take a deep breath. It is called love. In the darkest hour is the greatest victory as a saint passes to glory. Death is defeated. My childhood was spent in Basingstoke. Bless you both dear brothers. I remain an Anglican Christian but left the CofE a few years back. The CofE is finished. The church is being refined. Churchianity is dying but Christianity is being prepared for the Lord's return. All things work together for good for those who love God.
Read the end of Ezekiel 17... written for just such a time as this. He will fell the tall impressive looking trees because they did not keep thier roots under them, they reached out to the world for thier strength and became no longer rooted on the immovable word. It's God himself ending so many denominations like that... but for ages now he's been nurturing new small trees who stay rooted in his word even under duress. Well Ez17 assures the unimpressive looking faithful tree will spread out and became shelter for many. Jesus is separating out his own... thats why we can't fix it...hes given it over to ruin. Focus on what he does to regather those who will be that less flashy but very real replacement. Shalom aleichem to all affected... hes not powerless hes the one forcing this to unfold

Like a muddied spring or a polluted well is a righteous man who gives way to the wicked.

Both your titles are fake and nowhere to be found in my King James Bible. Your pride screams from the rooftops. Reverend ??
I actually prefer Father myself. You do realize the KJV isn't the original Bible lol?
