  • NEED A LITTLE TIME TO WAKE UP WAKE UP
    Welcome to the 150 or so people who have subscribed since I last uploaded which was a while ago.
    Ditched the amp, just plugging straight into garageband and using virtual amps which I think sounds better?
    Tuning is about half a semitone up as with a number of songs from Oasis' first two albums.

    biblical! i like how you noticed and played every little note in there, i play it just like you, most people don't notice these little notes cause of the loud original mixing, it seemed like all the guitar parts were on top of each other but that also gave it that oasis feel so you gotta love it, cheers dude!

      Farouk Elkayal thank you. Yeah exactly! All those guitar parts make WTSMG what it is and so much of it they never even tried to replicate live

      yes exactly, I just wanted to know how u did the tuning exactly to get the specific oasis sound cause it always seems a little bit lower when I play it on standard tuning, so how did u achieve that semitone up tuning?, thanks in advance.

      Farouk Elkayal unfortunately I have no better way than just to do it by ear. It is about half a semitone up. Although if you have a tuner where you can adjust it from 440hz and put it higher than 440 (not sure how much) that might help. Also even if you can not adjust your tuner like that, I find it still helps to use a tuner so that you can make sure you are adjusting each string by the same amount

      Joe Williams using all virtual pedals and amps in GarageBand. Would have been either the vintage drive or hi-drive (I think it’s called) or possibly both

  • @richardjones3335
    @richardjones3335 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    What virtual amps and settings are you using in garage band to get that tone?

    • @chrisc4867
      @chrisc4867  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mix of the different "British" amps/cabs. One of the lead tracks is "vintage british head" and "modern british 4x12". But I'd say the two other big things in addition to the amps to get it sounding good are the master reverb under plug-ins and also the stereo spread plug-in, just mess around with those

    • @chrisc4867
      @chrisc4867  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Daz Jack hey, it’s about half a semitone up from standard. Suggest using a tuner if you’ve got one to make sure you’re adjusting each string by the same amount and then just go by ear.
