I did remember eventually that Saiyans power up when they almost die. I did forget about this momentarily during filming, but I DID remember it before posting.

when saiyans get beaten to the brink of death and are healed their power grows exponentially. which means there is no ceiling for saiyans if they keep getting hurt and healed. its called the zenkai boost.
And immortality would be wasted on Sayians. Sure they can still get hurt, but their no longer in danger of dying so the boost is significantly diminished

The 20 years in the future gag means vegeta screamed so loud the sound reached earth 20 years later, exactly when he was mentioned by purple haired kid.
It also implies that Vegeta’s scream is so powerful that not even the void of space, an environment that doesn’t carry sound, was unable to stop his scream.
The first two seasons were also written under the impression that everyone watching would also know who said purple stranger was.
@@felixthescholarlytitan4437 It must have relayed through otherworld, because assuming the scream managed to hold it's standard 1,100 ft/s in vacuum and giving it 20 years to travel.

TeamFourStar actually planned to release "TeamFourStar Soda", but couldn't do it at the time in terms of cost of production and other reason.
Also fun fact, Zarbon and Dodoria's names are a play on the words "Pomelo" (in Japanese) and "Durian", 2 fruits found mostly in Asia.
I think it was just Hetap they planned to release.
@@The_One_In_Black I'm almost sure they mentioned in the commentaries over at FourStarBento that they wanted to release TeamFourStar Soda, but were unable to because it would be too costly and a logistics nightmare when compared to clothing.

The power scaling with Vegeta on why he gets stronger fast after getting beat it's because in the show The lore of the saiyans is that they get stronger every time they get beat up bad
That "Batman should kill the Joker" argument looses all impact when you realize it's the Gotham Justice System's fault for not giving him the death penalty

Its weird you get copy write claims for the theme song. Yet, ive watched 3 other youtubers react to DBZA and they play the theme song just fine. I think TH-cam doesn't like chicagoians!
This sort of thing happens all the time, TH-cam has all sorts of inconsistencies and biases when it comes to their policies. I watch a reaction channel who constantly gets demonetized for language despite making a point to keep it at a reasonable amount, while other channels with far more don't deal with the same issue.
there's a thing that has been changed back and forth but the original concept is that saiyan biology is so adept to fighting and surviving that if they fight and lose or get really damaged they do not only heal with stronger muscle and bones and anything you can imagine but subconsciously they internalize the other guy's fighting so that they don't get got by the same stuff in such way they rarely lose the same fight twice provided the other person hasn't improved it's so much stronger it still doesn't matter, tho at this point and forward it's mechanically just treated as raw ki/power level multiplayer
I believe Zarbon goes more "frog-like" than lizard. Cause you know, "Subversion of Frog turns into Prince" joke, Toriyama and his gags. lol
21:25 YES! This was the thing I talked about in my comment on the last DBZA video. It's the most Vegeta Vegeta moment that has Vegeta'd thus far in the show! I'm glad you had a good laugh at it. And just remember, it only keeps getting better from here! Can't wait to see how you react to episode 20. They got their fans to contribute to that one, which made it 1000 times better.

Fake Namek was filler content unique to the anime. It wasn't in the original Manga at all so Goku mentioning it here was just a continuity joke.

Hey, thanks for the upload. I look forward to the DBZA reactions. I would recommend that you get into the DBZA movies/specials at some point as well. While most of them are not canon to the main story they are still really fun.
She’s been watching the movies so far and also they are canon to the DBZA plotline since they reference jokes and events from those from time to time.
I think you'll very much enjoy the Ginyu force, especially the joke they have with the meathead of the group

The power scaling is also difficult to follow because in the anime, somebody may heal for 5 episodes and their next fight will be a squash but it lasts another 2 or 3 because they're explaining the power jumps. But abridged, they're kind of writing to the show's fans and trying not to explain every joke. Like "this is funny because Goku is dumb."
Vegeta got a zenkai boost. When they get best close to death and heal they get a huge boost in power.
Bulma: "I want to grab him and...
Goku: "sixty-nine. seventy. seventy-..."
Vegeta: "-One time you defeated me"

There’s one thing that no one thinks about Immortality yeah you won’t but doesn’t mean that you can suffer from mortal wounds or crippling diseases. It would need Immunity to all diseases and instant recovery from all injuries.
Vegeta was healed from near death and everytime a Saiyan is near death he gets a power boost.u we're explaining as I was typing lol

@14:17 thats called a "Zenkai buff".
its a broken ass saiyan trait that when they get wreaked and live they get HUGE buff to stats.
basically vegeta goes from dedora around 22,000 to zarbon 34,000 after zarbon beat him to 1hp.
but as of the end of z the buff is basically worthless in the amount of stats it increases.
the tldr is: early dragon ball z sayains [but especially vegeta relied heavily on zenkai buff to keep pace with other characters like frieza -cell- and goku.]
its great early in a sayain's life but as they get older its value is negligible at best it can get you out of a sticky situation like with bardock or -trunks after the andriods- .
i love the sentai of dbza im not going to spoil them or their names for you but lets just say they are some of the most fun you'll have until the end of the frieza saga.
Saiyajin grow much stronger after taking a beating, think of it like a muscle ripping and repairing itself during exercise, only to come back even stronger than it was before.
I don't know if you'll see this but if you just press "M" on your keybord you won't need to pause to mute the video since you won't need to move your mouse :p

Saiyans always get stronger massively every time they take a brutal beating and lose.
This is why Vegeta was way stronger than the last time he faced Zarbon.
Funnily the "massively" is wildly inconsistent. Like at first it's pretty normal, Vegeta at around 18k gets to about 24 and then after Zarbon beating him gets to around 30k. About 6k increase each time or maybe about 33% increase (which would put him at 32k after the second zenkai, perfectly consistent with being much stronger than Zarbon but weaker than most of the ginyu force). But the next time he almost die, bam, he gets a 3 000% power up xD
You can safely ignore someone that's upset if you ever call them the comics.

So saiyan like Vegeta goku and gohan if there beaten to near death and survive they get a huge power boost that’s why Vegeta was able to kill Zarbon even though Zarbon beat vegeta
