Made this and it came out sooo good, instead of brown sugar and bourbon, I added McCormick Grill Mates Brown Sugar Bourbon 30 Minute Marinade, once i was done with making my sauce I poured it on top of my salmon and it tasted soooo good
This looks really good, I'm just getting into cooking bc I'm young and sick of eating junk food all the time. I love it! I'm gonna use this on fish and chicken forsure 👍
Wooooah thank u so so much this is one of the better recipes I have found on my search and I will definitely be using this one more often it’s so frickin good again thank u
I know it's been several years, but any idea how true this recipe is to the Bourbon Burger that used to be offered at Carl's Jr./Hardees back in 2013? I've been dying to find a recipe that will re-create that exact sauce.
Don't know if this glaze is the same as that one. But I just made this recipe last night for some shrimp and pork steaks. Only change I made was to use 1 tablespoon of bourbon as opposed to the 1 teaspoon the recipe calls for. It is really, like really, good. My buddy even put some on his steak and sausages that he threw on the grill, too. It was great with everything, even the roasted potatoes my wife made.
@@ItIsaKeeper ahh, that’s what I must have done. I over cooked it. Woke up this morning and it was like molasses 😂😂😂. I going to open a food truck and serve wings. I definaly want this sauce on the menu. I don’t want it runny but I don’t want it like molasses neither. I need it to look like yours even after refrigeration.
Because as I state in the video, the full printable recipe is linked in the subscription box below. That way you have a nice typed version to see everything you need.

Sounds great!
I'm going to make this today but use orange marmalade instead if pineapple/lemon. Thank you for your video!
Sounds great!

Measurements?????
I’m making this
You wont be disappointed.
wonder if this is similar to Cheddar's bourbon sauce?
We do not have a Cheddar's here so I do not know.

I do not know if it is an exact dupe but I think it is pretty darn good!
Does this glaze thicken up really hard like Carmel after refrigeration?
It shouldn't. Be careful not to overcook it, though. It will thicken a bit more as it cools.

Why is the amounts of ingredients never mentioned. How much should be mentioned
Because as I state in the video, the full printable recipe is linked in the subscription box below. That way you have a nice typed version to see everything you need.
It’s in the description
garlic powder sub for garlic ok?
It will work but garlic is better.
What are the quantities of the ingredients??????
The link to the full printable recipe is in the video description. Enjoy!
My question same 😂😂😂
Quantities would be nice
They are in the recipe card in the description.
Looks good, but I would probably call it pineapple glaze
You didn't caramelize the onions? Amateur hour over here... And... did I miss it or is there no bourbon in the bourbon glaze?
Yes you missed it. Please refer to the recipe card in the description for the recipe.
She did add the bourbon.
She lost me with the water and barely no bourbon
You could always add more to your liking.
Skip the water and you’ll be fine
French fries
Seems like the measurement “some” differs on each ingredient..
Always go by the written recipe card. However you can adjust for your personal taste.
This wouldn't be used for a donut glaze, that's for sure! Anyone try it on bacon?
It would be great for bacon or pork in general.
Some?! Can you not tell us the measurements here?
Here is the link to the recipe directions and amounts.www.itisakeeper.com/2155/bourbon-glaze/
About 2 cups of water/pineapple juice/teriyaki to only a teaspoon of bourbon, and you call this a bourbon glaze?
Yes, it is just supposed to enhance the flavors, the alcohol will burn off anyway. You can add more if you want a bolder flavor.
looks more like a brown sugar glaze
Check the printable recipe there is bourbon in it, however, a glaze has to be thickened and brown sugar does that.
