The respect you all show Larry says a lot but what I really appreciated about this video was Danny sharing some of his knowledge with us. Keep it up, gentlemen!

Many of the wedge and short game guru's recommend using a higher bounce SW 10-14° and a lower bounce LW 4-10°. This gives you the option to play way more types of shots than just using all high bounce or all low bounce wedges.
Every good wedge player will vary their AOA depending on condition and shot they are trying to pull off.

Good Point. Versatility is a big part of fitting wedges. I recommend having different bounce angles for each wedge. - Thomas

Danny's body movements and antics would have made him a great 'Eddie Haskell' (played by Ken Osmond) on TV's "Leave It To Beaver."

Simple question, high bounce or lower bounce for individuals who consistently hit the ball first in a sand trap. Conditions are firm for the most part, no range to practice effectively.

If you're referring to greenside bunker shots, you may want lower bounce so that you can make better contact. However, for greenside bunker shots, it's best to hit the sand first and let a higher bounce wedge "thumb" the sand and thus lift the ball onto the green

Nice - Not many videos on bounce / wedge strategy based on golf conditions. Hard sand better use a low bounce lob wedge! Very dry and fluffy? -- make sure you go out to the course with your higher bounce sand wedge in the bag. Around the green ... If you like to open your club face remember a 58 / 5b degree lob opened up is more than enough for most situations!

Thanks for watching. Agree 58 opened up or even 56 opened up is plenty of loft - Thomas

Can't justify getting new wedges yet but I definitely need higher bounce on all my wedges except for my 14 bounce 56 which I love. I chunk and blade my 8 bounce 52 degree all the time I'm a little steep so it makes sense now

Wedges are your scoring clubs if I was to upgrade any club first it would we clubs I use for short game - Thomas

Most amateurs don’t play enough bounce. Bounce HELPS more times than not.

I would venture to say the average weekend golfer hits 70% of his shots from 100 yards in. So the more wedges in your bag the better
