I know it’s about a human dying but my actual dog died next to the tracks he was sick and crawled his way next to it and gave up on trying to move anymore and excepted his fate I lied down with him and cried until he took his final breath. So when I heard space cowboy it gave me chills 😭 amazing song Zilla!

I could tell what the song was about from the lyrics. But i always wondered if "I'll see you in space cowboy" was a reference to the 90s anime, Cowboy Bebop. The closing scene of the anime went "See You Space Cowboy.."
