How old is Ray? 19 or over 30? I must say he is very irritating with his naivety. So almost 2 hours in will give this a miss.

I have come across more than one of these Patterson/random other authors books that aren't written well, have flimsy plots, and place underdeveloped characters in key roles. Maybe i need to actually read them instead of listening.
all these thrillers are written on the 3rd level.hollywood of paperbacks.
