Imagine if he had we're gonna live with that ftp. The whole month of last December I ran ftp, wgl as a solo trying to save as many randoms as I could. I got 1 dude 3 times in a game. I would have loved to see it here.
That happened to me in a similar situation; my teammate gave up on first hook (it was a bubba, also I was playing with someone) the other teammate didn't really do anything, and I looped the killer for 5 gens, got adrenaline, and us 3 escaped.

Can't blame him, game is garbage and in order to win you just gotta play like that against good survs, and it's not like there's a rulebook that states "you are not allowed to tunnel".

But sadly some people out there putting thousand's of hours of their lives to be the best that they can be and they have to resort to do such things in order to get their PP feel big. I think he just showed what he did. when you unhook survivor, there's unskippable animation, which you can cancel if killer hits you, and you pick up item on the ground he hits out of your arms with franklin's, because picking up item has higher priority and locks you in place, unlike when you get interrupted by a hit from killer. think of this as when you open a chest you stay in the "throw away the lock" animation for a second you can interrupt by pressing shift+direction, just apply this logic to unhook.
