CORRECTION: - You DON’T need the Completed I-765 and I-983 for your EAD application. These forms are only needed to obtain the STEM OPT I-20 from your university.
Hi, I recently received my STEM EAD card, but USCIS made a typo in my surname, listing “Name Not Given.” I raised a service request 45 days ago but haven’t received any updates. My DSO advised me to handle this directly with USCIS. I also tried contacting a USCIS agent by phone but couldn’t find the right option. If anyone has experienced this or knows the full process, please guide me. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Please refer this article by USCIS: www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/employment-authorization-document If it’s an error from USCIS, they will produce a new EAD card for FREE. If it’s an error from your end, you need to reapply and pay the fees again. If you have already raised the request, the best bet would be to try to get connected to a human from the automated option and explain them your situation. They should redirect you to the required person.
