Thank you for this video. I am currently a junior in college and my dream medical school is NYU. It was my dream undergrad too but I decided to stay in state for undergrad because I knew grad school would eat my wallet. Heck Idc about the tuition part. I’d go even if I had to pay full price. This video gave me a little bit more hope. I expect to graduate with a 3.82 GPA and 3.66 science GPA. A bit lower than the average but I have a lot of EC, volunteering, and stories under my belt. I switched from economics to premed before my junior year so humanities is a big check. Reason why my gpa should be higher: I was taking freshmen classes at the same times as sophomore and junior level classes and my class taking lists were out of order. (Took kinesiology before physics and took Strength and Conditioning before Anatomy.) I’ll be TAing in the fall in Organic Chemistry and also will be President of my school’s chapter of a National Prehealth Honors Organization. I also was a resident assistant and currently volunteer in a research lab where I will be working under a professor starting in the fall with his upcoming projects. What happens will happen but I’m just nervous because I take the MCAT in August and it’s such a terrifying exam 🥲
How to address the shortages of doctors in the country. 1. Local hospitals and med school: Get doctors and med students from other countries. 2. AAMC: let's give em a 7.5-hour exam huuuuck huuck huck! 3. NYU: Lets give all these opportunities and free tuition that's only available to the applications closest to application perfection!
Loved the video! Is it possible to do a video on how to get into one of the University of California medical schools or UCSF? Those have been some of my dream schools for a long time. Thank you so much and looking forward to your future content :)
You're an aspiring murderer who will destroy people's lives so NYUs fraudulent CEO can get another 2M bonus this year on top of his 8M salary to run a so called "non profit". Go do something decent with your life instead.
My name is Amin from Morocco, 20 years old. I want to study medicine and pharmacy. Do you have any idea about a study visa? Thank you. Tell me to go to a medical university. I love scientific subjects. What do I do,
It ain’t cheap to be going to medical school. Besides the tuition, how do you fare paying the rent each month, especially if it’s in NYC or LAX? They’re like around $2,500+ each month. I feel like med students contributes the most to our US economy, borrowing and lending $250,000 and that’s just from one person. Who pays for YOUR rent and boarding and food and car payments?
I just relocated to US close to like 2 months ago and I really want to get into nyu medical school......but I'm not yet a citizen is a green card enough for to get in and if so how do I go about it

Love how detailed this video is! Interesting that family medicine isn’t one of the primary care focuses of the Long Island campus

It's indeed expensive! Most med students unfortunately have to take out loans to pay for everything...
@@Shemmassian You can borrow $2,500 a month for four years?
@@JenCheng1 yep u can
@@Ahn-mu3db but you just have to be accepted first?
med school tuition at NYU is FREE
How can someone get admitted into the NYU medical school?
This is the one that gives free tuition right? I’m an international students and I’m wondering if I can get in.
Hi Shammah! That's correct--FREE tuition! You must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or have DACA status to be eligible for admission.
@@Shemmassian you just shattered my dream
I checked the site and if you've got your undergrad from an accredited college/uni in the USA you *are eligible* for NYU Grossman!

Is there a family medicine option at nyu lisom?
yes! LISOM is actually very family medicine driven, as part of their larger PC oriented program
So it is a whooping 25000000 million for a Kenyan to complete a 5 year MD course in NYU
