      you don't know the reason ....... the reason is your teacher was not bad but because you have studied it for long time and now you are just listening from this video to things you already know then you think in the video its easy to understand. think if it was your first time could you really understand it in 7 minutes

    i think u solved the problem for pooled version. But question did not mention about pooled variance. So; df= nsmall-1 is better for me. So after calculation should be solved with different standard deviations, not sp.

    Im confused- In THIS video, to calculate t at a given alpha, you use df= (n1-1)+(n2-1). IN YOUR other video on the same topic- for calculating confidence intervals for independent variables you use the t-values based on the same alpha but the lesser of group 1 df (n1-1) OR df for group 2 (n2-1) These are going two be two grossly different distributions- one of these videos must be wrong, right?

    can you tell me why you eliminated the mu symbols when you started your calculations? I am very confused about the difference between the sample and population mean and when you actually need them.

      These are the population means, which are most likely the same because both classes are part of the "greater population of classes" . That means that the difference is 0. I was confused at first too, but this makes sense.

    wrong again...... why are you taking 1 away which means that your are assuming this is a one tailed tests, but taking the value from the 2 tailed tests column.

    Hello, I have one question. It seems you are using Student's t-test for df calcultation. But ideally since the groups have different std deviation, Welch test should be used same applied to the formula of DF .
