WCBS staying off the air for just ONE HOUR? CBS2 must've signed off at 5:00am, and then they returned to the air at 6:00am. Interesting duration! Usually stations signed off from 12 midnight to 2:00am, stayed off the air for 3-5 hours, then returned to the air between 5:00am and 6:00am
That's probably the longest they've been "down" between broadcast days. Often WCBS signed on as little as three minutes after their sign-off - and you only saw the test pattern for two minutes.
