the older you become, the more friends you loose. that is why i love those scenes in movies or shows, that reminds me of a feeling I had long time ago! Friendship, true friendship
Kudos to the filmmakers of this episode. The music fades and another melody is played and it shows Carol and Doug looking at each other and we all knew that they would in the end find each other.
And this seemingly was their wedding reception, considering it doesn’t look like they ever had a wedding ceremony once they got together. I guess it’s kinda like what Mer and Der ended up doing on Grey’s. Just kinda saying “hey we’re married.” 😂
@@Truth72500 People grieve in different ways. I think it was a good portrayal that they were not there. I know that Clooney has said in interviews that he declined because he did not want his cameo appearance to overshadow the departure of Green. I think that was a good decision. It highlighted the fact that not everyone reacts the same way.
Mark with his arm around Doug. He probably knew how relieved Doug was that she didn't marry Tag but at the same time knew they weren't getting back together.
Carrie Ann, me too. Whenever I would remember it, I would think of that beautiful dress, Carol's curls bouncing as she danced and her dancing with the little flower girl. The imperfectly perfect end to the first season.
I wouldn't say I have a favorite ER scene, but for me, I love this one because pretty much the original cast was all together and happy, everyone from the doctors to the nurses to family like Jen and Rachel. They were all together, they had chemistry as a group. Carol caps everything off with her speech. The first season of ER was a magical season.
So I get that Tag thought Carol didn't love him the way he loved her, but did he really have to wait until she was there at the church all made up with both their families there? Like you couldn't have at any point, called her or gone over to her apartment in the morning to talk about it? You wait until she's in her dress at the church ready to walk down the aisle, and she still has to come find you... That is what made him a jerk.
You need to look up the word "accountability" and then figure out how it pertains to Carol in this situation. The fact that you are only mentioning Tag is incredibly unfair to him. Carol is just as responsible, if not moreso, for this mess.
Carol & Doug should have gotten married. after all she loved him so much and he really loved her even though he was with other girls even though it’s just a tv show .I mean nowadays marriages Don’t even lasts anymore because people don’t want to try & work things out they Just want to give up It’s sad 😞 even a People who’s Just start a dating relationship don’t want to even try Anymore because they may have been in love with someone who they really really loved & cared about that person some people who are lucky enough to be able to find that special person to share their life with forever our very very lucky to have each other, cherish you’re relationship and hold on to your love ❤️ because you don’t know how lucky you have it until you don’t have the love anymore so put god first in your life .he will never let you down he wants to see his people be happy that how he intended it to be in the first place He will help you in everything that you need help with in your life just ask center your life on him were ever your life takes you
When Doug & Carol returned for one of the final shows of the series, they were married. It would have been nice to see the wedding. What you wrote is so beautiful & true. I thought I found love but I have faith God has someone special out there for me, some day
Elisabeth THAT’S your idea of how a man loves a woman? She should’ve dumped him, walked away and never looked back the first time he screwed her over! Marrying a cheating ass is the perfect reason why marriage wouldn’t have lasted.
She didn't marry Tag, he left her at the altar. Years later, after giving birth to twin girls, she went to Ross in Seattle and stayed there. Not sure why, as he couldn't even be bothered to come and see his children.
She didn't Marry Tag he realized she didn't love him.......He called off the wedding the last minute........She was still in love with Doug.......They eventually get back together.......I love Doug&Carol they have great chemistry.......They were my favorite couple on the show.......
Even after almost 30 years I still get chills when I see something by ER again.❤

I literally fell in love with George clooney from this scene when I was just 11 😢
That dress still looks great 25 years later.
??
Love that dress.
I know right?
Which is shocking for a 90s dress. 😂 love it

Doug’s face when he said, “Tequila!” 😂😂😂
Kudos to the filmmakers of this episode. The music fades and another melody is played and it shows Carol and Doug looking at each other and we all knew that they would in the end find each other.
This was the episode where I knew Doug and Carol would eventually end up together!!
And this seemingly was their wedding reception, considering it doesn’t look like they ever had a wedding ceremony once they got together. I guess it’s kinda like what Mer and Der ended up doing on Grey’s. Just kinda saying “hey we’re married.” 😂
Carol’s wedding dress is timeless
Best non-wedding reception ever. Carol was definitely a gorgeous bride and we all know she belonged with Doug 💕
Right 💕
I love the Doug-Mark-friendship SO MUCH!
It's a shame they were all there at Mark's funeral but Doug and Carol, their friendship was awesome.
Doug never valued his friendship with Mark as he skipped his funeral

Caro’s dress still holds up!!!! Good job ER wardrobe department!!
But those bridesmaids dresses tho.
panda5122 They are just heartbreaking.
@@panda5122 bridesmaids dresses are always horrible, regardless of the era.
Rachel's wedding dress on Friends is a similar thing.
Watched this episode with my mom last week and she LOVED this speech and the dancing.
Love, love this show.
Mark with his arm around Doug. He probably knew how relieved Doug was that she didn't marry Tag but at the same time knew they weren't getting back together.
That dress was magnificent
Carol was a very strong, compassionate woman. Beautiful inside and out, and everybody saw that about her.

Carol a strong beautiful woman who always picked herself up & kept going
Carol is my favorite character on the show

ER still holds up. Love this show. Time to rewatch❤
Everyone deserves another person who looks the way Doug sheepishly looks at Carol.
A great ending to a great first season! George Clooney's reactions to Tequila are hilarious!

Always thought she had the prettiest skin.... Reg this clip, she made lemonade 🥤 out of 🍋 lemons!
Back when E.R. still had its humanity.
It was never the same after Carol left although I liked Abby too
Today is 28 years this episode airing on nbc thursday may 18th,1995

Where’s the drama in that though 😅

It's a TV show ffs
He needed his revenge
Thanks for the upload .One of the most happiest moments on the show..I thought Tag wad such a jerk.. XD
For some reason I never realized Jen was at the wedding with Mark
And that’s a girl talking to her cast mates too. I love this scene, like I love that wedding dress and I lovvvvveee that I love that wedding dress.
Very late 80s wedding look
At the end of this video from 3:00, that background music is omg😍😍♥️
I've loved it since the first time I saw it over 25 years ago. Isn't it gorgeous?
I think the only main characters that weren't at the wedding were Benton and Carter.
