Im a Manchester United fan. But im not one of those guys who thinks SAF is the best manager of all time.
First of all, I respect his legacy in Man United and i really love him as a Boss because he really know how to approach and make the players respect him and do what he wants. What he achieved with Man United will always be remembered.
But if we talk about controlling the players, the game and tactics. I’ll have to say that Guardiola is the best manager ever. No doubt about it. He’s an absolute legend of this game.
This guy really changed football and make football become boring to watch.
Every teams he faced always parks the bus. That’s why city match is always boring to watch. Unless they face liverpool.

I don't understand these people that say that Pep might leave soon Manchester City. Pep left both Barça and Bayern because he had reasons to do so. He felt things were not right and chose to leave before being sacked if continuing. In Manchester City PEP DOESN´T HAVE ANY REASON TO LEAVE. He is working with Txiki Begiristain, Ferran Soriano, Estiarte and many more that had already worked before at Barça and shone with them. And he is shinning again with them at City. Pep knows that part of his success is thanks to Txiki that brings him top talented "unknown" players that are good team players. Pep will stick around Manchester City as long as Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano stay there. When Txiki retires, Pep will most likely retire also the same season or shortly afterwards. But that won't happen for another 10 years or more.

I loved the Mancini and Pellegrini eras, but we didn't have an identity that you could see week in and week out. We often won games with the brilliance of our elite players; but when they were in poor form, we had some shocking performances resulting in losses, especially in Mancini's last year, and Pellegrini's last 2 years. I remember we had stretches where we would lose or draw for 2-3 straight games, which is almost unheard of in the Pep era, which is a testament to the mentality that Pep has instilled into his players. They absolutely hate to lose.

Pep's won the treble in his 1st season at Barca. Zlatan was sign after Pep's 1st season. Bayern didn't start their domination of the bundesliga under Pep they won their first of 11 titles under Jupp Hyenkes( my spelling might be a little off) in 2013. That season Bayern also won the Treble that year.

Just a small detail, guardiola didn’t start the streak in Bayern, Jupp heynckes did, winning the treble. So pep didn’t start anything, he went to a Winning team, that was eventually squashed 4-0 in Germany by Real Madrid. And then he would buy the best striker and defender from the biggest rival, and be eliminated by atlético and barça. I give him credit in Barcelona for all that he’s done for the club and for football, and in city, he was the final step for the club to reach the top, but in Bayern, it was normal, did nothing special.

    • @YourFootballZone

Pep Guardiola only failed at Bayern because of the players who no longer had the same winning mentality as they did under their other previous coach Jupp Heynckes.
Then again Pep Guardiola did prepare those very same Bayern players well for the German National Team for World Cup 2014, so in the psychological sense Pep somewhat succeeded as he was their coach at the time, not Jupp Heynckes in 2014.
Also Carlo Ancelotti another one who did worse than Pep at Bayern Munich, well he as well also failed because of the same reasons Pep failed, and both after leaving Bayern, they won UCL, Carlo Ancelotti in 2022 and Pep Guardiola in 2023, which shows it was the players and wrong timing for both Carlo and Pep. That's all.
Even the Bayern fans themselves when I went to see a game in December at the Allianz Arena, most of them told me they do not despise Pep Guardiola and that they still love him regardless of no UCL and as much as they love Hansi Flick as well, they told me that they acknowledge the situations and conditions that Hansi Flick won it in, which the pandemic alone made their situation a bit more fluid (easier) to win the UCL, especially more so now that they saw just how terrible Hansi Flick did at the Germam National Team level and got sacked when the conditions were back to normal, which that right there has evidently changed most Bayern fans opinions, although yes there were always those ignorant angry Bayern fans who came at me with their distaste for Pep & Carlo Ancelotti and claim how it was their faults for why their team failed, when clearly 2022 & 2023 said it was truly the other way around, as most Bayern fans seem to be in agreement, even more so now that Carlo and Pep both made up at their current clubs saying it was their team who failed them, not them failing their team.
I'm glad from personal experience that most Bayern fans aren't beyond lost like Real Madrid fans are and see the facts for what they truly are and not ravel blindly in their own ignorance like unfortunately some do.

@@jakedelhinski3849 Guardiola is one of the best of all time. Period. If he retires tomorrow it doesn’t matter, what he as done for football is undeniable. But when he came to Bayern, nobody expected less that what he has done in terms of titles, Bayern was far superior in the league, that is why i don’t think is that special. Like any other coach that went there in the last decade. Bayern did in Germany what juve did in Italy. They dominated the domestic market and brought world class managers to finish the job. That’s all. I give pep props for building players like kimmich though. I don’t compare pep with ancelotti. Pep wouldn’t have the balls to coach Everton or Napoli. At least until now, off course there is a big difference in age we never know what he will do in the future.
We are on the age of the hype. You can see that in every sport you have records beaten and you have discussions about who are the GOATS of each sport. Cr7 and Messi, lebron James, Lewis Hamilton, Floyd mayweather, the barça team, the golden state team, Guardiola, Mourinho, and as people give their points into discussion, sometimes you can hear the same thing being said by two different people but in a different way to manipulate. One say that Ronaldo has made a glourious hat trick that gave the team the win , the other will say it was a penalty and two tap-in’s. Two completely different perspectives of the same thing. In that perspective I think that guardiola can take a piss against the wind, and people will find some positives in that. The greatest piss ever 🤣 The man is great, in his style, the way his teams play, very intelligent in the path he is taking in his career, but I think that people try so hard to put him on a pedestal, like he has no flaws, an that I refuse to do. I don’t have favorites, I see it as it is, and we live in a time where the greatest of our era are being put on a GOD level compared to the rest. And people grab every little detail to put them even more above like we knew of the history of others in the past. Pep is just one of those examples.

By now we know the demons he faced, I heard somewhere that the Brazilian star would sometimes show up to training late... but overall it was a great video to watch!

Yaya Touré was a good player overall but had a big "no no" from Pep Guardiola point of view. Yaya Toure was undisciplined when it comes to keeping positional discipline. And Pep got fed up with that and bench Toure in favour of Sergio Busquests . Toure didn't like it and left Barça for City and when Pep arrived , Toure stayed 1 season and was not renewed as he was at the end of his career as a player. Toure Yaya should stop bad mouthing Pep (he calls him a racist) and acknowledge that his undiscipline was the reason he fell out with Guardiola.
Guardiola doens't like unruly undisciplined players who break "positional discipline" specially in midfield like Yaya Toure did often.
Etoo, Zlatan, Yaya Toure, lately Cancelo have all fallen out with Pep ... Pep doesn't like primadonnas and ego players who are rude in private and unruly on the field. He will talk to Txiki and Ferran Soriano and these players would have to leave ... Or Guardiola himself would leave.

1 correction I'd like to make. City were NOT a mediocre team for most of their history. They were considered one of the biggest clubs in england and had periods of success in bursts before it all fell apart in the 90s. The 60s and 70s were the greatest period. The 80s were mediocre but the early 90s were a ray of hope. However after the advent of the Premier League, City endured the worst period in their history. Falling to the 3rd tier for the first ever time in more than 100 years of existence. We all know the story after that.
But City were by NO MEANS a mediocre team **throughout** their existence. Nope. Factually incorrect.
