You can give puppets land just click on that countries flag and then click the land you want to give them after making them a puppet. Note: it usually cost more Victory points per land space if you decide to give it to your puppet
It’s better to just wait for all the DLCs to go on deep discount instead of buying a goofy ass subscription that will eventually cost more than just buying them, especially when they’re on sale. I got them all for like $70USD
@@hammotimee But at the end of that two years when you stop giving them money you have absolutely nothing. HOI4 is the type of game that you may put down for months but you will pick it up again later, owning the DLC means you always have that content available at no further cost.
@@billwiley7216 So what? I personally play games in phases, like I play a game a lot for a few months then I dont touch it at all for a few months. "I've been out of school for I don't know how many years because I can't count. And I've never needed to graph a quadratic". Mebbe cause and effect here?
I’ve got a recommendation for a couple mods: 1. Make a country in a peace deal I really have no idea why people haven’t thought of this yet! If this became a mod, I can bet people will go crazy on this mod. How it works is that there is a new option in the peace deal screen where you can “make a country”. There will be 2 options: “make a free country”, or “make a puppet”. Then, you can select the name for that country. Finally, you can select the tiles you want that country to own. 2. Resistance overhaul I don’t get why modders can’t add this feature where there is resistance on core states! How it will work is: your stability takes a large part of the resistance, where when stability is low, resistance is mainly high, and vice versa. If it gets too high, the city will break away (using the first mod) creating its own nation, which an AI will make a name for it. That city is no longer a core of you and you can choose to free it or fight for it. When compliance gets large enough, you will have the option to core a state, however you will lose some political power points. The more compliance from around 60%, the less it costs, since violence in the streets should normally happen less. 3. Puppet mod When you get in a peace deal and make a puppet (linking to the 1st recommended mod), you can choose which rules a puppet must follow. However, the more strict your puppet should be, the more points it costs. You can choose from the following presets in the peace deal, or choose the custom button to make how autonomous your puppet will be. The rules will have an amount of points next to it to show how many victory points it costs, and at the end it will show you the amount in total. When the puppet is made, it will not have cores (mod 2 gets used, but instead of them picking if they core something, they demand you if they can.)
1: Love it, custom countries would surely be a mod already but if not, someone should do it 2: Don' love it on core states, why would a core state want to break free? 3: That;s pretty much how puppets work now with Together for Victory :)
