Beautiful set, can't wait to try this, but was wondering if it matters on what mat top coat you use, I have a mat top coat, just never use it, I just use a very fine buffing block to make my nails mat & it lasts a super long time with ZERO staining
@@grandmimm you can use any matte top! Gel or polish! If your method for matte doesn’t stain, that’s awesome lol but it likely won’t work for this method

Yep you can do matte gel top in place of dip or if you don’t use gel, you can use a polish matte top!

This may be a dumb question, but what did you put on the nail to get the powder to stick? Whenever i use the base coat, it dries pretty quickly and the powder wont stick to it like this, especially to go through all the colors. This is beautiful and i would love to try!
Not dumb at all! So in this case, the powder isn’t sticking. The pigment in the powder is just staining the matte white nail!
@MarlaKris oh wow! I had no idea it would work that way. So if I use the white dip powder I just go ahead and put the colored powder on top after I activate it? Or should I put a base coat down? I'm trying to figure out how to replicate this with the tools I have because it is stunning!
I do have a matte gel top coat if that helps lol
@@amandacox8367 it should work with white dip alone! But matte top coat stains so well, it may work better
Why press-ons? Because they're awesome! But then, I may a little biased. 😅

That was my motivation!! Ya know dip can make them bulky but this way, they stay super slim!

Base, white , dye scrub, repeat as many layers as needed , activate, top?
Yes and no.. it will work BUT activator over it may disturb the tie dye. I would recommend applying a smudge free polish top coat or a gel top over the tie dye. If you want to use dip top, you can activate after a smudge free top!
hi marla! i LOVE this and tried it and i'm having issues. i did white dip per usual...shaped, etc, then put on matte gel top coat, cured for 1 min, then scrubbed on the colors - looked GORGeous...then put on gel top coat and cured - it was beautiful, but as soon as i swiped the nail with alcohol the color came off :/ i tried again adding a gel base coat between the color application and the top coat and it's a little better but still coming off - any ideas/tips?? thank you love your channel!

the color is coming off AFTER you’ve applied a gel top coat? Are we sure it’s a gel top coat? Bc that definitely shouldn’t be happening
