There's so many lies here -He did not promise not to talk to his family for a year, that's bullshit! He didn't see his family because he was stuck in Australia in 2020 where there the entire world was in lockdown - he wasn't failing any audition lol where did you come up with that?? He landed a lead role on Masters of the air while he was still shooting Elvis and they started shooting the series jusy one week after warping up Elvis. - He got casted in Dune 2 and another movie with Tom Hardy before Elvis was even released so he was pretty much booked without any audition - he revealed he needed a speech therapist for not sounding like Elvis right after the shooting was done because he was doing another show in one week Can you please do some research before you post??
He certainly does an excellent job of sounding like Stellan Skaarsgard’s son in Dune 2 - his performance is amazing. Whoever this voice coach is, they definitely worked their magic on him for that role - every last atom of Elvis has been completely obliterated. 👏👏👏
Austin put in the work just like Jim Carey has done, props to both the fantastic actors Btw go check out masters of the air which Austin stars and and honestly? The show is pretty awesome
This was his first real lead performance and there were outstanding aspects to his role and the choices he made, but Brendan Fraser's emotional output in 'The Whale's was so transformative. And you can't deny a good comeback story -- especially because Fraser's career had been on ice thanks to a rogue agent accused of assault.
A lot of this isn't accurate. He was only a background actor when he was 12-13. Then he started getting roles. He then went on to film. He didn't "Promise" to not talk to his family lol. It was COVID times he was in his 20s and he stayed in Australia instead of being shut out of Australia during COVID if they opened up filming. He didn't carry on the Elvis voice. He definitely had a southern twang after it wrapped up but didn't talk like he did as Elvis. He spent 3 entire years submersing himself as Elvis. His dialect coach told him if he wants it authentic he has to stay in that voice and not just use it for on set. Because of COVID he had to stay in it longer. If you did a voice 3 years 24/7 yeah......guess what...it becomes your voice. Just like if you move to another country and submerse yourself in it and then go home. People would say you picked up an accent. If you are going to do these shorts get it right.
I loved Elvis, saw it thrice, but Austin had little chance of winning. A) there are very few extended scenes of dialogue in "Elvis." B) 2023's Oscars was the year of the underdog/comeback story, and Brendan Fraser was a big part of that, along with EEAAO (which I did not care for) I thought Fraser did a great job, but I will always love Austin for the rest of my life
There’s so many different truths & inaccuracies when it comes to that. There’s so many endless debates about his life & what really happened. I feel like the movie got it right for the most part but it’s not going to be 💯 accurate & sometimes in movies extra things are added just because it’s a movie.

Brendan didn’t have to do anything except play himself … for a day? Austin transformed himself from a teenager through 42 years old … and there were times I forgot I wasn’t watching the real Elvis. Austin earned the Oscar. Plus, he won the Bafta, the British Oscar, over two English actors. That should tell you something!
@@susanbarco2579 did you watch the film? To me it looks like you’re being a bit biased towards one rather than open minded, because Bredan’s ‘performance’ isn’t something to be underestimated.
After playing a background actor for years, Elvis was his big shot, so you can't blame Austin for not wasting an opportunity like that.
I’m sorry but him having to promise not to speak with his family in order to get the role is actually insane
Yeah
He didn't he was stuck in Australia because of COVID lockdown
Dis you see the movie? Was he good in the role?
It would be if it was true lol..
The movie ELVIS was a masterpiece!

No he can't. He just loves to cater to headline reading npc's who buys all the bullshit they're served without any critical thinking or researching.
His videos are consistently inaccurate, this is just another instance of that.
Yeah this dude is just known for being incorrect, but he gets clicks and views
Nice comment
Thank you for your post … where do people come up with these outrageous remarks?

He's like Heath Ledger, but without all the drug and dying and shit.
So edgy
No that was blown out of proportion heath would take sleeping pills and he accidentally overdosed
i mean not like heath was a druggie, pretty sure it was sleeping pills
And without the talent
You can't compare Heath to a one-dimensional actor, but it is your opinion and shit.

Im in love with Austin lol

I remember him as the lead for “The Shannara Chronicles” liked him since
I wish Raimi Malek didn’t win for Bohemian Rhapsody cause I don’t think he deserved it and think if he didn’t win they would have given it to Butler.
no disrespect, but harry styles for the role of elvis? bffr
He was robbed of the Oscar 😖
Really liked his performance in dune 2
Aye man put some respect on my brothers name he was also in Zoey 101 and a singer/writer in Ruby and the Rockits

You’re crazy for that nobody was winning that year besides Brendan Frazier
Exactly… but a shame
Everyone should’ve learned with Heath Ledger that ‘method acting’ is a dangerous route to go down.
I loved Elvis, saw it thrice, but Austin had little chance of winning.

Austin was in second place. He won the golden globe and the bafta. But yeah Fraser won deservedly
Master of the air has been really good
austin every role give perfect performance elvis master of the air dune 2 and the bikeriders
This guys sentences start with a pitch from 100 to 30
All of that and no Oscar it sucks to be that guy
Bro what did you close with. That wasnt english
My godmother is a HUGE Elvis fan and she said she didn't like the movie because it was inaccurate.

@@ericake88 idk, she was pretty adamant that the movie was bad.

He was very good but actually Colin Farrell should have got the oscar over Butler and Frazer

probably why he's so quite in moasters of air
Harry Styles does not have the acting ability to play Elvis. Lmao
Who the fuck is guy
Fraser deserved the Oscar wayyyyy more than Butler did
Nah Brendan still had the better performance
