    I get more out of your videos than anyplace else. Always a great idea, or nifty trick to be found, and frequent, "Well, damn! That's smart!" moments. Thank you, sir!

    Great job Ramon ! Knowing the history of the wood makes this project extra special. I also have a Shaper Origin and agree that it's an amazing tool, the engraving and inlay use has dramatically changed my woodworking, I enjoy using it more and more with each project.

    Just in time! I am making some keepsake boxes for my grandkids and will use much of your technique in the build process. Thanks for an excellent video lesson and really nice boxes too.

      Thanks man! It may have made more sense to run the slot first whilst the board was bigger…and then cut the profile after it was attached. But I pushed ahead so I could see the overall look. I figured…”there’s always a way” 😆👊🏼

    I did some countertops with waterlox. The island was 120” x 50”. The finish does amazing and holds up well over years.

    I also like box joints.However always seems to be a messy glue up.Any suggestions?

    • @ramonartful
      @ramonartful  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve made tests with box joints and if the joinery is tight…not too tight where you need a sledge hammer😆 , but a good fit…then they only take minimal glue. Or you could add blue tape prior to glue up.

    Beautiful work! Question- is that a G0513 bandsaw, and if so which blade do you like first resawing? Thank you sir.

    • @ramonartful
      @ramonartful  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks ! Yep…that’s the saw. The blade is a Lennox Woodmaster carbide tipped. 1” wide x 2 teeth per inch. I believe the kerf is about 1/32”. Works well

      Thank you! And yes, what zohranbloedjes mentioned. It feels too far back for me. I have much better control with my hand near the blade.
