Ineffable Splendor I've been watching this clip for years now and it still makes me laugh. Hard. The first time I was crying and couldn't breathe watching it around 3 am. Good times.
Jeremy Bader just dont quote their show. During any public appearance, half their fanbase thinks it's funny/appealing to scream random shit from awesome show free of context. it's so cringy and gross. you'll also see people do the same thing in the comments.
"Now tell me about the audacity that exists in your mind and in the mind of your friends where you would think that someone would want to see a documentary about you and the process that you undergo to make this poison." "It's filth really..."
Brilliant!! At 2:56 Tim makes himself laugh after asking... "Let me say something to you- The blood of Christ is essentially wine...Who are you to put that into a bottle?"
I''m amazed at how well everyone from Maynard to Jeff Goldblum can play off Tim & Eric's brutal deadpan humor. It's almost performance art, kinda like Andy Kaufman in his heyday.
DM R imma go out on a limb here and suppose that mjk and Tim and Eric are fans of each other. Mjk doesn't exactly go out of his way to be interviewed often, but he's a huge comedy fan.
@@thedarwinist672 Pretty sure you're stupid. Guy is the violinist for a band called "the Tool". It's honestly one of Fred Durst's best side projects other than the film Jesus Christ Superstar staring Leonard Nemoy!
Wow. That guest they had was superb, great expressions and reactions. T&E is a great show, and it's about time someone put skits and such out for us to enjoy!
I don't think a lot of you understand what's going on here. Maynard is the lead singer of Tool, and other bands. He began making wine in Arizona. He made a documentary about this. For the documentary, he invited Tim and Eric to do a series of 5 segments on the show where they interview him as he is a fan of their work. It is staged. He is in on it. It is still amazing.
TheIsioisi T h a n k Y o u . Tim and Eric are so good at their gig, it makes it easy for Maynard to act appropriately in response to their remarks. Great stuff
I’ve been a big Tool and Tim and Eric fan for a long time now, and never knew this existed until now. Somewhat unrelated, but seeing Tool live was by far the greatest concert I have ever been to.
I love how T & E constantly trash talk the wine and yet get progressively drunk over the course of the interview. Lmao!!! Maynard is such a good sport here too!!!
I love how he never does interviews, and when he does he never talks about his music 😂 my favorite actors and my favorite singer in one video this is amazing
Y’all, Maynard is actually really good friends with Tim and Eric, and agreed to be part of this interview. They are absolutely all trolling everyone watching!
"I would not know, sir, because I also have never drinken piss, so I wouldn't know what that tastes like but I certainly wouldn't drink it." 4:13 LOLOLOL
As far as I've heard, Maynard went into the interview blind. He obviously knew who Tim and Eric are and I'm sure it was going to be a bizarre experience but as far as I know he didn't have any idea what they were going to do in the interview.
Look up Tim and Eric Absolut Vodka commercials with Zach Galifianakis. Best liquor marketing spots ever produced. There's 3 of them if you haven't seen em already.
Maynard served in a job like mine. I had psych ops guys like him in my office. He basically helped with propaganda on a small scale, he was in the Army as well, got out used his gi bill for art school he already had music talent before the military. Used both to create a band that would motivate many men to join the military and storm into Iraq on 9/11.. He had a concert happening the morning of 9/11 when it happened they told him on stage.. They announced it as well.. Then he said to the crowd immediately that they are gonna be really pissed off when they find out America did that to itself.. Right in Two, Lateralus, Eulogy great songs Eulogy makes me want to load up on put on a vest grab a rifle, head out. Escalating Riot horn sound in it is great. "He had a lot to say, we'll miss him.."
@NaiNoskcaj I thank you again for bringing some reason to the discussion. One more thing: If I discuss this bit as though it might be a kind of abstract comedic art deeper than its crude surface appearance than a degree of psychoanalytical discussion is required since the whole point of art is that it gives rise to different emotions from the viewers and also inspires debate among the viewers as to what messages or emotions the artist intended to convey.
"The blood of Christ is essentially wine... who are you to put that in a bottle?"
Ineffable Splendor Maynard completely shut off at that point😂😂😂😂
It's a fair question!!!
"Bloodachrist"

The conviction in Tim’s voice.
my nightmare is if tim and eric hated me
Jeremy Bader Don't cry my Chippy. Tim and Eric will always love you.
I hope so! Iain Clark they'd tear me to shreds if they didn't like me

12 years later and this bit still makes me laugh.
I tuned in because I'm a speed freak.
4:13 "I would not know, sir, because I also have never drinken piss."
"What kind of 'TOOL' do you use to make wine?...". Next level humor there. 🤣
this is like between two ferns on steroids
I think Galifinakous owes these two some Royalties.
they stole idea from this
Cousins Brand "Uploaded April 15, 2011"
mahasona DMX You do know Tim and Eric worked on that with Zack right? They all work together. nothing is stolen.
Goctagon Good to know
_He wants to open the wine so much... he’s probably an alc-_
_He probably has a problem with alcohol_
hundreds of wine available.
I came here hoping for an interview with Keanu Reeves. Why the hell isn't Keanu here?
Good ol' Can o' Reeves.
I know, not a fan of the wine and tools, but keanu reeves and the matrix with neo, that's an interesting thing, 5 bags of popcorn
Neo was probably driving a bus to travel back in time with Socrates

God, I laughed so hard. And Eric's sniffing bit was classic.
''Who are you to put that in a bottle'' HAHA
-Does it hurt?
-Does it HURT!!
I had to rewatch that part 3 times, it was awesome.
I''m amazed at how well everyone from Maynard to Jeff Goldblum can play off Tim & Eric's brutal deadpan humor. It's almost performance art, kinda like Andy Kaufman in his heyday.
I know Maynard has a huge interest in comedy
To add...he must love kaufman. I know adam does.
not almost tho 😉
Would you drink wine? I'm not gonna drink this poison.
Haha. I can't believe how calm he is. I'd be laughing from the first introduction.
"Does it hurt?" Genius. Of course he was in on it, and his delivery was spot on.
8:14 Classic Tim interruption art.
I'm a Speed freak.
This is perfection.
Rushnerd Shouts on the wrestling compilations. So good to see you here!
Thanks!
That is a fact.
Main Man Keenan
Maynard's aged... like a fine wine. He still looks thirty.
He looks better than ever
It's insulting to watch Maynard disrespect this program when they are the ones to go out on limb and risk tarnishing their reputation
It's insulting that you don't understand how DM R is using the exact same humor that T&E are using in this very video.
DM R imma go out on a limb here and suppose that mjk and Tim and Eric are fans of each other. Mjk doesn't exactly go out of his way to be interviewed often, but he's a huge comedy fan.

Jason Dubya-DEEZNUTS I have no faith, but I hope you're joking.
I agree, he wouldn’t even answer their questions! And then, to seduce them into drinking his toxic juice! He should be ashamed.
You guys take discomfort as comedy to amazing heights, love it.
Tim: The blood of christ.... is essentially wine...
Tool guy : Correct
We all need this type of humor, i'm glad they did this with him.
8:16 gotta love that interruption of the important "If you guys weren't relatives, I would not-" from Mayne man Mayner n-Nard.
+happybuddyperson Do you know if there's any truth behind that? I can't find anything about it.
They had wwy more songs theirnsomngswerebetterewybedder
i love how Eric clutches his seat when he makes his epic joke
why do they keep making tool jokes? is that guy a carpenter?
is "tools" a popular band? or some garage band? are there songs about cutting lumber?
Didn't you hear? "He was talking about the fish thing".
@@thedarwinist672 Not so much cutting lumber. I was told they mainly sing about how to use tools.

"In a shit world you live in" and Maynard laughing at Blood Wine had me tripping balls

WOW THANK YOU SO MUCH ENLIGHTENED ONE.

Tool is incredible . First concert I ever saw . After that every band seemed ordinary . Whoops lol
maynard kruger
Sweet berry wine!
"Does it hurt??" LOL And what kinda TOOL do you have to be live out in the desert and make wine?. I love this.
If you guys weren't relatives I wouldn't----

Great reference to the Q&A video where they ripped Yo Pablo on Twitter a new asshole for being a little shitboy.
If Keanu was here I'd ask him...
"do you want us to run out and get you some paint thinner?"
i fucking died
lmao that got me too
I’ve been a big Tool and Tim and Eric fan for a long time now, and never knew this existed until now.
Somewhat unrelated, but seeing Tool live was by far the greatest concert I have ever been to.
Redundancy young grasshopper! being a fan of tools implies tim an eric fans
Me too! Adam Keenan 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
...Who are you to put that in a bottle? Breathing disabled for 5 minutes
Eric calling anything shit is hilarious.
Why is my heart beating so fast.
This is two of my favorite things that I never thought I would see together.
I love how T & E constantly trash talk the wine and yet get progressively drunk over the course of the interview. Lmao!!!

Tim talks about wine the same way my Dad talks about beer.
"I've never drinken wine because I've never drinken piss....."

"what kind of tool do you use to make wine" i could not stop laughing

He's actually in Eric Wareheims extended family.
"It's a blast, that looks like it's a lot f fun there man."
"Ya it's great."
I appreciate this more and more every time I watch. It's a masterclass in subtle absurdity.
"How do you sleep at night knowing you make this traaash"
The way maynard looks at eric towards the end had me cracking up, this is great.
I have to re-watch this clip every few months because it's so bloody funny.
I haven't laughed this hard in forever. Holy shit.
Maynard is a good sport to go along with this. Comedic Genius.
I assume MJK asked Tim and Eric to do these interviews after he sang "Casey Come Back" in the "Re-animated" episode on their show.
Maynard was going to use that bottle opener in an "iiiiiiiiiiinteresting" way at the end.
"If you guys weren't relatives I would.."
This is like one of my dream interviews. Best mashup ever
_[ looks off camera ]_
Dennis, we've gotta get the guy on the show who invents the wine opener, get him booked.
"if keanu was here, i could ask him-"
lmao
Maynard laugh after this bit at 4:54 is definitely legit 🤣
I'd love to see the out takes of this.
I really want them to do another episode of this with Keanu and just shoot it totally straight.
"I would not know, sir, because I also have never drinken piss, so I wouldn't know what that tastes like but I certainly wouldn't drink it."
4:13 LOLOLOL
what kind of TOOL
What makes this all the more funny is that Eric has his own wine company. How does he sleep at night?!
I love that after the "Blood Wine" bit Maynard totally corpses and they just keep going.
This is the collaboration I never knew existed but have always needed..
Hahaha when Eric says "what kind of tool" Tim starts cracking up but he doesnt even get the joke
Is the other guy in on the joke? He's doing a great job acting if he is.
Yes he is, he does comedy himself.
yep, he put these scenes into his own documentary hes in on it

I would say yeah. He's got a dry sense of humor so its a good role for him to play a straight man. He gets weird humor
"The other guy" btw

I lost it when he drank the whole glass of wine 😂
Lol Tim and Eric are friends with Maynard, they have even opened for tool before
+Shaggy Gavel. Is there a video?
he's related to Eric by marriage. Maynard had never seen any of Tim and Eric's work prior to this interview. he is a legit wine maker tho

That wine opener is only the second over-produced tool there....
“That shit world you live in..”. Yep still a great line.
