    I just want to say that I am a saved woman and a mother of 3 adults. Two of them are homoseksuals (one dresses up as a travestite...) the third one has a child without a husband. We raised them with the love of God as our own (they are adopted) and teached them how to get saved through faith alone, by grace alone because of Jesus' the Lamb of God.
    So I totally understand the answer pastor Begg gave to the grandmother.... I totally don't understand the behavior of 'christians' on the internet.
    Loved this sermon pastor Begg. And also loved, loved, loved the interview with the russian sister of ours♡♡♡

      @@neilfalls4095 HOW UGLY OF YOU. Would you give an alcoholic a Bible as a gift and visit them at an occasion of any ceremony you can find them at? That's what Alistair Begg suggested to the grandmother who asked his advice. He does not approve gay weddings, he does not approve alternate lifestyles. He does not drive alcoholics to bars. If he sees an alcoholic in a wreck in a ditch by the road, he gives them a Bible and offers to be of help if they ask for help. That's what he did that you accuse him of doing otherwise. You are siding with the Accuser of the brethren, Satan himself.

      You may not have heard the pastor's message addressing the controversy. In it he goes to great pains to point out that his counsel was to a specific grandmother within a specific set of circumstances. He would not necessarily have given the same counsel to others. If you're expecting strict adherence in every situation, not even Jesus was that reliable, for he seemed to respond to each individual with words meant for that specific situation. Anyway, you have a point, and the pastor said that not every one on his own staff agreed with him. But if it's predictable compliance with in every situation, I suppose you set yourself up for disappointment. And perhaps you put God in a box. It's worth thinking about ...

    Pastor Begg, for the Glory of God and the souls of men I lovingly urge you to repent. When people attend their gay friends/family's weddings they are sending the message that this chosen lifestyle of sin is not that serious, regardless of having communicated otherwise period. It will have the effect of lulling many in sin to sleep in the comfort of their family coming out for them on their special day. They will be less likely to see their need to repent. The path to Hell will be smoother and easier than jt was before. This has sobering consequences Pastor Begg. Please repent.
    An lgbtq wedding is a work of darkness. There's no way around it. It's not a conscience issue.

    This is a truly sad commentary, made by a man who while educated, has not experienced the rebirth. How can a man give this sermon and not understand that the disciples were saved yet were not born again, and hid for over a month out of fear until Pentecost? How can Alistair not understand that Pentecost was the fulfillment of the prophet Joel's testimony that God would pour out His Holy Spirit on all flesh, and convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement? How could he not understand that the Lord Himself promised "another helper" to teach us the things of God, whom I believe must be believed in, AND RECIEVED in the same manner as we receive salvation? How can Alistair not understand that is when we pass from darkness to light. As to the Gentiles, they receive the Holy Spirit upon professing salvation through Jesus Christ, but most QUENCH the fire of the Spirit when they don't like what He says. Perhaps both Peter and Nicodemus had experience with the Spirit when they earnestly asked God who Jesus was? How could a man of 40 years of pastoral ministry not have experienced questioning God and getting understanding after seeking Him with all our hearts? Perhaps this explains why so many are confused by the current trend of "expository preaching" that never practices topical preaching which MUST EXPLAIN when is the time for war and when is a time for peace, as given in the book of Ecclesiastes or must the Christian now die of cheeks beaten endlessly by turning of the other cheek? Perhaps this is why a pastor can advise going to and celebrating a wedding not sanctioned by the church in the name of love, when CLEARLY there are many occasions to exhibit love but not blaspheme the sacrament. Perhaps not being born of the Spirit explains how an American Christian pastor cannot find much in common with, as he said, American fundamentalists? How does a pastor of such obvious Christian education and church experience not only not understand these things, but he also insults those who do? One would hope that he would take the advice of us American Christian fundamentalists and take a sabbatical to get right with the Holy Spirit and be lifted up to full use of his talent potential. The first step in a true encounter with the Holy Spirit is a desperate belief that He must show Himself to teach a sinner the proper division of the Word of God, else I fall to false teachings. Then, once given a bit of light, I must become like the Bereans and test all things, even those taught by Paul, lest I become a respecter of persons, regardless of our love for such persons.

  • @johnnytangent2849
    @johnnytangent2849 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Why Nicodemus didn't know - at the time Jesus told him - what was meant by born again is understandable. How anyone, including Nicodemus, could misunderstand what born again meant after Christ's resurrection, can only be explained in two ways. Blindness or purposeful deception.
    Jesus is called the first born from among the dead for a reason. He was born of the flesh by his mother, Mary. That which is born of the flesh IS flesh - composed of flesh. But after he died he was born again. This time not composed of flesh but of Spirit.
    1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
    That which is born of the spirit IS spirit - composed of spirit.
    The term born again should indeed be understood literally unless Jesus wasn't literally resurrected from the dead. The real deception in not taking the use of the phrase born again literally is that it obfuscates the literal resurrection of Christ - it denies the actual bodily resurrection of Jesus.
    While the conversion process is miraculous it is nothing compared to Jesus Christ's literal resurrection from the dead.
    I hope Alistair and all who claim to be born again now - while still composed of flesh - are merely blinded, one might hold ministers with 40 years experience to a higher standard. The reception of the Holy Spirit is a begettal not a birth. One must first be conceived, then gestate, then be born.
