    Using the VTT for this series is an amazing idea in the edit, really helps illustrate the points and looks awesome! Can't wait to see more brotha!

      When I read this, your voice was in my head.

    Great job! Effectively using monsters and their thematic strengths and weaknesses can be difficult as a DM sometimes, but by using examples like this on the virtual game board, you’ve really helped visualize how different encounters could play out

    Yesss! I love your shorts, but man have I been waiting for some kind of series involving longer videos!

  • @vladimiravich7260
    @vladimiravich7260 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Love it! I want to see some more ideas thrown in for GMs running a more grim and gritty campaign with a disclaimer that this might severely change an encounter. For example I can see goblins resorting to using poisoned weapons and simple traps in their ambushes. An entire encounter with goblins using poisoned arrows to soften up a group of adventurers before running into melee can be over kill for even lvl 4 characters.

    These are great! Even as a veteran dm I can say that this gave me some new ideas for future encounters. This kind of video is so good on my opinion because he doesn’t say how to run them but sparks creativity

  • @ponyboycs01
    @ponyboycs01 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That was actually super helpful! I'm about to run the Lost Mines of Phandelver for my group as their first campaign and I was trying to figure out the best way to run the goblin encampment. Much appreciated Steely! This is definitely a good idea for a new series of long form videos. Looking forward to new ones in the future!

    Simple but very effective. First time being a dm soon and this type of video will help me tremendously

    Superb video as always! Short and condensed information, as most of us like it. These videos are helping junior DMs a lot.
    I am really interested to see how a pack of werewolf's with f.e. some wolf's would fight.
    They are common encounters in curse of strahd which a lot of new DMs pick as a starting module because of the great reputation of the adventure.
    Glad to see you covering the fighting tactics of the awesome monsters you are teaching us about.

    Great idea! You covered a great topic for new DMs. I would also like to see a good guide to DnD stats and how they function, so I can just point newbies to your channel, rather than feel like a broken record with every new player.

    That`s a really well made video. I think it would be cool to first cover all popular low-level monsters like gnolls, orcs, and drow, as they can be pretty similar for new DM`s. But personally, I would love some devil ideas for my Avernus campaign.
