The interviewers clearly have no experience with having parents on drugs or being around that life, because if they did, they would understand his response. It’s not that you don’t care that your mother is on drugs, it’s the fact that you are a child and you can’t tell your parents shit, and they are going to do what they want to do. And as the child, you get to the point to where you accept that it’s nothing you can do, and you stop consuming yourself with their addiction problems. You accept that this is what they want to do, and you just leave it alone.
