    I know you said it wasn't great, but could you give some instructions on how to get an intake like that to pick up both colors, we are really struggling with the 4-bar intake design, and would like to do something like how you did. (instruction like: spacing, rubber bands, etc)

      I could help, My team has fiqured out of to get 2 blocks types. Its depending on how your intake is desgned. We have seen the design of motors inside the bot rather than on the arm making the arm lighter and go up easier and it is more consistent. There are two ways to do this which involve having chains running from a motor to another sprocket which is attahced to a 60 tooth gear which then connects to a 60 tooth gear on the intake. Examples of this online are Vextronauts and Caution Tape.

    How do you get green and purple with one intake? Also, what is the spacing of the rubber bands?

    Hi I have problems with my drivetrain for my robot and elevator . After I add everything like my flywheel, elevator, and the brain, my robot starts to move slower and gets stuck much more often. Can you give me some tips and a good gear ratio to use for this type of robot? Also for my elevator, it keeps getting jammed when I use the rack gears or linear slides, can you help please?

    How do you stop the chain from removing in the intake my team has a similar design to yours and because the chain is removing we are thinking of starting from scratch do you have any tips to solve this problem

    • @7163BChewbotcaRobotics
      @7163BChewbotcaRobotics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you are really close! We haven't actually had this problem. Do you know what is causing the chain to fall off the sprocket? My suggestion would be to tighten the chain, and use #32 non-latex rubber bands. Hope this helps, let me know how it works!

    • @shadrackdakurah9939
      @shadrackdakurah9939 ปีที่แล้ว

      We found the problem we were using gears instead of the sprockets because we don't have that sized sprocket

  • @flyingcheese22608a

    I saw that your elevator was very fast, i was wondering, what was the gear ratio was.
    BTW, great robot!

    • @7163BChewbotcaRobotics
      @7163BChewbotcaRobotics  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The gear ratio is 3:1. Although the elevator looks good in the video, it still gets jammed quite often. One recommendation is to use rubber bands to help pull the elevator upwards. Hope this helps!

    So I had a quick question, this robot is so good, how did you manage to collect the greens and the purple with one intake? We’re struggling to do so, so I was wondering if you could possibly give some suggestions?

    • @7163BChewbotcaRobotics
      @7163BChewbotcaRobotics  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This robot actually isn't great at collecting purple cubes. I would recommend a 4-bar intake design (basically just an intake that moves up and down) similar to Samuel Cheng's robot. Hope this helps!

  • @yusufemirkilic7861
    @yusufemirkilic7861 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You have created a truly wonderful robot. I have two questions. How did you prevent the purple colors from entering the green squares and how tall and wide are the robots? There may be some errors as I wrote it from translation, please excuse me. You are a great team.

    • @7163BChewbotcaRobotics
      @7163BChewbotcaRobotics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! To sort the cubes, we made it so there was a slot behind the intake where only green cubes could enter while the purple cubes continued up to the top ramp. -- Hopefully that makes sense. The robot it about 18 inches long, 11 inches wide and 15 inches tall. Good luck!

    • @DestinyMartinezREALTOR
      @DestinyMartinezREALTOR ปีที่แล้ว

      It looks like there was two slots behind the intake that went into it but the first slot was smaller so that only the green cubes could slide in, the next slot was bigger, so that the purple cubes could fit in. It also looks like that the storage for the cubes could go up and down various heights so technically you could put in purple cubes at one time and green cubes after that.

    • @7163BChewbotcaRobotics
      @7163BChewbotcaRobotics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you have a pretty cool robot going! We found that with a fixed intake like the one in the video is difficult to create without two motors. It is possible to use one motor to power a four-bar intake but the fastest gear ratio that we were able to use was 60:48. Unfortunately, I don't have any other pictures of the intake because I deconstructed the robot. I hope this helps!
