It’s like finding a brother finding these. Started in 94 in Mississippi, was a footstool for a week once because I didn’t mop correctly. Have one apprentice and I’m blessed we get each other. Won’t do it again. I couldn’t agree anymore with every aspect of this. On to watch the one with Dorsey!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and passion for tattooing, Kian! You've inspired me with the East to West podcast to go traditional Japanese with my tattoos. Looking forward to S3.
As a younger artist, I truly admire your traditional values and honor in tattooing. I feel like I missed out on some core values being brought in under people who didn’t quite know what they were doing, didn’t want the responsibility or just flat out had no business in it. I often find myself looking to your videos for guidance to make sure that I’m following and keeping the values of tattooing alive. Much respect ✊
It’s great that you have Bonsai and Pippin as apprentices to carry on the tradition. Thank you for taking the time to make these podcasts, I look forward to season 3.
You have to first get tattooed, and display patience, humility and courage there… to even be considered for the privilege of apprenticeship… imo… Thanks for the vids mate! -Pete Rock Ps. I’m gonna need 20 push ups! 😂
Been watching your podacsts for a while now, so i thought id ask if you know any good traditional japanese artist's based in the UK? That have been around for some time . I am a tattoo artist myself and I'm finding it hard to find other artists in that field to talk with and learn from. I do conventions myself in the UK, however most artists there seem to do black and grey realism, black work, pop culture. Do I just start travelling abroad to conventions
I had an ex girlfriend once sit beside me and transcribe what me and my friends were saying playing xbox (she asked permission)... Holy hell I read it back and almost put myself into a fuckin mental institution lmao
Absolutely love your work ! And always looking to your next podcasts and definitely looking forward to the consultation with yourself ! Great work

Owning a business is not the same as having a money printing machine.
