blackpink is one of the many examples that female idols (or basically women in general) can never win in terms of how they look. jennie & jisoo get called too chubby, having meaty legs and shamed for gaining weight - while in the same breath rosé & lisa get called anorexic, sick looking, like a skeleton and shamed for being too thin. hello?? so we women are either too fat or too skinny, it's so disgusting.
It's crazy that they even body shame them if they're way too fat or way too skinny.. but looks like they aren't as much idols that go through extreme diets nowadays, you can tell that 3rd and 4th gen girl groups looks healthier nowadays and it's been a while since an idol talked about an extreme diet or being body shamed. I think the 2nd gen girl groups had the worst for that.
Those toxic people towards female idols: gain lil bit weight, having different body types or eat well/more = fat, look like a pig eat less = too picky loose some weight, having different body types or being skinny = look like a skeleton, look sick wearing tight/revealing clothes = bad persona, so-called liberated girl wearing baggy clothes = too conventional [Such a never-ending saga.] Everyone is different. We have different body types, different metabolisms, different environments, different lifestyles, different habits, different activities/schedules, etc. U can't expect everyone, especially kpop idols, to fit ur own standard. In case it doesn't look right or urgent, u can tell them but remember use kind words or be silent. We're just fans, don't cross the line. If u don't like it, leave then. If u like it, enjoy ur time and support them. That's all. The kpop idols, they're all only human after all, the same as us.
Lmao I don't even know why tf is Ning Ning body shamed. It's literally body goals y'alls. I thought everyone wanted honey thighs, curvy hips etc. I'm a fan of Ning Ning's curves she is literally my body goal tbh.
Yeri and NingNing get so much sh- about their weight because people don’t get that people have different body types. Both of them are more apple shaped and QUITE THIN. Plus they’re younger members at an age where fluctuation is very normal. Cameras and comparison with other members also contribute to this kinda stuff. I think Way from Crayon Pop said in her channel that even “glamorous” idols we see on screen are absolutely tiny in real life.
I'm usually not influenced by public opinion or figures in media, but for a while I did want a more petite body. As a girl that's 174cm and has a more curvy figure, I admired girls who were petite, flat chested and had smaller hips. Jihyo has the same body as me and whenever I see her perform, I am in complete awe. Seeing such a beautiful girl who looks like me made me more comfortable in my own body. I know it's not intentional as no one can change their frame, but I wish I could thank her for being a positive influence and confidence booster for girls like me who aren't small. God I love that woman
90% of the time, it's not even about body, it's about how clothes fit on you. Clearly people are always gonna talk about us, that's why we gotta embrace ourselves
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you for bringing us such an important statement: diversity. We all have different types of bodies, all of them equally beautiful ✨
If you guys didn’t know ningning is 43 kg she is the most thinner in Aespa and I think because of her face proportions that make her look huge. But please weather if you are aespa fan or not please understand of ningning feelings she is a human too she has the most beautiful smile. I hope you guy understand after see this comment ningning deserves so much.💕💕

Such a positive video wow ~❤ I feel like my body is more appreciated now even if you didn't talk about me but about the idols 😅 just shows that really everybody is differenr
I just want my idols to be encouraged from trainee days to refuse the toxicity of crazy diets that leave them malnoirished and can lead to binging later on. It causes so much harm to the body. Since they have to do so much daily exercise with practices, they should learn about nutrition and incorporate healthy and balanced eating habits from day one. Their lives are so hectic after debut that they need to at least be well nourished :( Been bullied into an extremely restrictive diet or into binging (like Sunmi) solves nothing. Body types exist and everyone should learn to respect that. Idols are people too.
i feel like there's also an intersection between fat shaming idols that are korean and not korean. like in clc even though sorn's body type is comparable to seungyeon's (both are muscular yet curvy) she got the most hate from a young age for being "too fat" to the point she apologised around debut era for "not being pretty or thin enough" also i feel even though seunghee has also faced fat shaming, during hobgoblin era she was praised for her body type more than shamed. however i wonder to what extent the praise for seunghee's figure is down to a more neutral appreciation or sexualisation
Also, SNSD Tiffany as scoliosis ! It show a lot when she wear low rise jeans and crop tops. I have one too and it's honestly quite handicap bc it change your body a lot
The thing that in twitter Jennie was skinny shamed for her CK shoot and then getting body shamed for her shoot is like crazy? Haters will just hate every idol is best the way they are!
At times i really don’t understand these kinds of things. Why should we judge people so heavenly because of the body they live it. Frankly i think that if its the only thing you look up to then you should listen to these beautiful women stop criticizing them and know that not everyone’s perfect. Really its not helping anyone, these are the kind of things that make people not want to live in the public eye, they shouldn’t be this ashamed look what could these things you say effect others. I really liked that you made this video and brought it to peoples attention they might not know where this comments lead to
You know unnie !!!! K pop has this problem always !! Like if a idol gains some little weight literally some little antis call them "FAT" and then idols lose some weight antis call idols "SKINNY" Why antis do that ????????? 😶😒
it's sad that jisoo is always the one who gets bodyshamed for being the thickest in blackpink. tbh i really love her like that, and plus she's been really gaining weight these days which is so good for her ! JISOO = ✨THICC QUEEN✨ wbk.
I'm a flamboyant gamine myself and yep! I have a very wide ribcage and am rather muscular and short, so I wound up looking bulky in most clothes. But indeed, my body is "versatile" as in, I look vastly different from very small wardrobe style changes. Sadly I don't have the creativity required for it.
Great vídeo. I noticed that you move Joy from soft classic to dramatic classic. But I still think she doesn't look balanced as a classic, specially a DC, because she seems too yin. I see soft natural, because she looks wide and tends to look fleshy. Anyway, she is a difficult one. You should do a correction video to reassign some girls that you change your mind about their types or that are too ambiguous, like Rosé and Sana. It would be great.
Yes, I agree Joy is a difficult one but as you said I think she fits best as a SN. As for Tiffany and Sana I would put them in the N category. Now Rosé… she's difficult! I've seen her in DC but I don’t think she fits there, her shoulders are too prominent. And she also doesn’t fit TR nor FN imo.
@@clarice4731 for Rosé, her height is above average, but she doesnt look tall. I think she is a DC, but underweight. If she put on some weight, her hips would balance with her shoulders.
@@pedrohenriquecarneiro4331 good point, she sure is a little underweight. As for Sana I can see where you are coming from, but I see some blunt edges (broad shoulders) and you can see some muscle with a not so defined waist (still visible tho)
@@clarice4731 I just saw some pictures of Sana and I see more muscles and some discussions on reddit. Her height is under the average, but she has a long vertical. Her height gain pattern also is not DC. I guess now I agree with FN. She is difficult because she looks good with everything
It seems like people don't know what "fat" means anymore. BMI isn't always accurate either. Yes, it's a good tool to use, but not everyone will look the same even if they have the same height / weight. For example, I have a larger chest and very muscular legs, so I will look way different than someone with a smaller chest; even if we're the same height and weight. At a BMI of 20, I looked underweight even though I was in a healthy range. Idols would have an easier time maintaining the same weight if there wasn't such pressure and criticism placed on them.
Body shaming is disgusting, stupid, and it is based on subjective opinion. One cannot change bone structure, for instance wider shoulders and small hips are a thing and it is completely normal and beautiful. You cannot really change your proportions, either.
In this world everything should have to be average like you can't be too fat and can't be too skinny have to be average..like wtf! I have theatrical romantic body shape so people call me that i am little fat c'mon this world is freaking stupid
Could you do some examples of which outfits you like or dislike on certain body kibbe types? for instance, i find that yeri is glowing and looks more stunning nowadays because she's dressed well to her body lines unlike in the best
I would love a video where you discuss and give us examples of all 13 Kibbe Body Types in K-pop. I would be so interested in that. Would you consider? I know this is an old video, so I will mention in a newer video, and maybe you’ll see it. If you do, please give me a sign (like a heart or a comment) so you know people are interested. My bf and mom think I’m a flamboyant gamine, but I’m not sure because people say I look taller than I am, and that type supposedly has a short vertical line. I get confused…😮❤
