This is awesome. Thank you so much for this inspiration. I’m starting out with charcoal and want to add some colour so this is fabulous showing me how to use black and white and colour! I’m a beginner and want to draw faces ❤
Thank you ! When I was a young woman I was fortunate enough to work with Aaron Berkman in his NYC studio! It was a highlight of my life. I wish I could work in the same space you are in to be near a great master, but how wonderful that you share your knowledge with us through your videos!
Dear teacher, I am painting portraits in acrylic for years since my retirement. I am trying to improve my skills all the time. I felt there was something missing in how I like to express myself. Now I know! The combination of carcoal and acrylics is magic! I am so grateful for finding you as an online teacher. You gave my creative development a huge boast. Thank you so much! Jeannette, an admirer from the Netherlands.
One of these days...if I watch you do this style enough I'll get my copy a little closer to yours........I guess I can only keep trying. Loved the vid.

Wow amazing
Thank you 😊
Mr Barrow I would love to see how one of your charcoal and acrylic works looks varnished? Is it possible to show that at some point? Thank you
Yes I try to remember the next time I do this technique
And a question: what spray do you use before putting on the acrylics?
I just use hairspray to hold the charcoal :0)
Un pregunta el trapo que paso para sacar las tenía algun producto como agua o alcohol u otra cosa, ya q limpio acrilico diluido pero seco?
Yes the cloth is damp we glaze with acrylic colour so you can remove it with a damp cloth 👍😁
