- Sometimes we need to export data (X,Y co-ordinates or Easting,Northing) from AutoCAD drawing.
Here in this video I have showed the method by which you could export X Y Values from autoCad drwaing to Excel with just few minutes.

get your points on separate layer, turn off the rest of the layers and type dataextraction, select points and enter, then follow screen ( points are not in order)

save your file of excel as a csv file....in the save as option
WHAT ABOUT Z CORDINATES
may I ask are the coordinates extracted this way the exact position of the map. WHat I extracted is not the same, and i found out there is no correlation between this coordinates with the map's real coordinates i fund using photoshop
By this method u will get exactly the same coordinate. No correlation between data.
@@LearnExplore thank you for the reply. Sorry i didn't make myself clear. e.g. I got X=30891888.19 Y=29655181.89, and using paint, I got another coordinates for the same point as X=3290 Y=2882. And using thi method i ave obtained a lot. and im trying to find a way to see how these two sets of coordinates are related. So far they are not, but i think they should be related through some transformation aren't they?
Coordinates depend upon scale factor. May be you imported the image in autocad in larger scale

Actually the data I have choosen for the example there was no Z value because it is a 2D polyline.
If you have the Z value in your data then use 3D POLYLINE COMMAND. I think the shortcut for the command is 3PL
then list the 3D POLYLINE and extract coordinates.
if you want export xyz your poly line should be 3d poly (3Dpoly) then only you can get Z value.

Use command 3P instead of PL to draw the line and then apply the same process
What about z?xy very easy please tell also about z
Z can be exported like the same way what is shown in this video.
Just you have to use LIST command from the TOP view.
And u hav to apply some filters in excel.

To get the Z value u have to apply the same method
Data extraction (autocad command “DX” ) more easy than this method.

Thank you for asking me about AutoCad Data extraction.
Data extraction can export all Autocad drawing entities (poly line, circle, text, point etc...) details which is coordinates, layer name, block name, attribute value and line length, etc.. as Excel table or we can insert as a table in same drawing.
I'm using Data extraction since 2010. you can access data extraction by typing "DATAEXTRACTION" or "DX" in AutoCAD command bar.
