How to destroy a poor Van Van 200 😅 . Good vid anyway, the Suzuki DR200 engine is a workhorse, a Beta Alp 200 would probably have had better chances on that trail. The 4Ride is on my wish list.

It's a 125cc, they have a 6speed gearbox. It is off road prepared, sump guard etc no damage occured. But yes of course a more off road bike would make it much easier. But they are much more expensive.

@@jonb6660 125cc only? well that makes that undertaking quite remarkable!

    * please note no van van's were damaged in the making of this video!
The bike has been modified with sump guard etc and was also used off road by a previous owner. It is a cheap way to go green Laning and obviously some green lanes are tougher than others. If this was a standard bike it wouldn't make it. but it shows you can use what you have to have fun.

Quite right, you can have fun with what you have. And for that kind of trails, IMO the lighter and lower-seated, the better. Also, not too much power but rather a good low end. I've got an Alp 4 with a few mods and it does fine, only bit on the heavy side. I'm eying the 4Ride but I'm afraid the seat is higher than the Alp, I'm 5'9", I'm 60 and I've only been doing semi-serious off roading for a couple of years (only tarmac previously), so having the ability to put my feet firmly on the ground when needed is a necessity.

@@knobbytrails577 You're very right about getting feet down being important especially when it's slippery, I need to get better foot pegs to encourage me to keep the feet up more! I'm guessing unless you can get a lower seat for the 4ride you will be better sticking to what you know. I don't know your bike and guess you've thought of this but lighter battery, less fuel on harder sections and any other weight saving ideas would help. We were pretty tired after wrestling up those tough bits, really great fun though. I'm going to check the front sprocket and take it down a tooth if it's still standard, the 6 speed gearing really helps it being 125cc.

In fairness he’s a new rider and those bikes won’t pull the skin of a rice pudding 😄
