Is Eric Braeden leaving Y&R too after Donny Boaz’s exit from the show?

- After Donny Boaz’s shocking departure from The Young and the Restless, viewers have been worried about where the show is heading to. Moreover, the inside leaks which state that more unexpected exits are in line have everyone worried about their favorite characters on the show. In particular, the recent events at the show have raised questions about Eric Braeden’s status with the show. But, is Eric Braeden leaving Y&R for real? Here’s what he has to say.

I'm really getting sick of young and restless. Instead of firing the actors fire some of the writers. They keep with the same dumb situation about Adam and now they fired Chance what about what the viewers and what they want. Please don't bring Abby husband back he is no match with Chance. Come on writers do better than what you're doing with the actors. BRING CHANCE BACK.

Mariah said she’s ready to do the surrogacy as planned. If you weren’t watching a key episode, Chance wrote letters to Abby and Nina to go ahead with it. And when the time comes, he’ll return when his mission is over.
I saw all the episodes but think it’s ridiculous to carry on that storyline when there are no plans to bring back the Chance character anytime soon

And hey, this is why the Head Writer is on the chopping block to be fired. With the support of the Soap Fans, they may fall back and bring Donny Boaz back.
If not anytime soon, well, that’s the burden of Show Business.

They need a new writer. They are firing people we like and are necessary to the plot.
I personally think the higher ups are behind this firing. I read somewhere he & some higher up got into a political disagreement. If true that is NO reason for his dismissal, Donny is the best, & should be reinstated. The so called higher up should be reprimanded. I hope they will not replace him with Abbys' real husband, he was good, but like I said it's Donnys' role to play.
The writing is so bad that I only watch the show on average once a week.
Some time I enjoy the play back because u for get the story line, hang in there Jack and nickie.Never liked Victoria, the one now.Thank you for the Show anyway,Time change.

If Eric and Melody ever leave Y&R our daytime will never be the same. These guys are truly daytime fun time.
The day Eric leaves is the day I am done with Y&R for good. I'm not just venting, I am dead serious and my guess is MANY more fans feel the same. He and the remaining veterans are the last bit of glue holding it together. I am heartsick what those in charge have done to this once great show.
You might disagree with me but I really REALLY got pissed off when they fired Gina Tognonni and brought back Michelle Stafford. I thought Gina was fantastic as Phyllis.
Victor has to leave sometime ,am sure viewers don't want him to die while filming, lets be real he had his time, we all love him on set or off set

@@sheriheffner2098 I agree with you on that one. She was a fantastic replacement! She actually had me liking Phyllis which I never did with Michele Strafford playing the part. Once MS returned I knew she would be paired with JM and become stagnant in her role! The other actress played the part so much more well rounded, understandable and likeable. MS is boring and so not funny but silly imo!
Yes there may come a day when Eric leaves by his own choice. That is a different senario, but I'd they fire him I'm gone.
I was very surprised to see Chance gone from the show.I can think of a few others who could leave and not be missed.Please bring Chance back.He was perfect for Abbey.What the heck happened with Sharon kissing Adam.But Trust me If Eric Braeden leaves so do I.

Eric Braeden is a Soap Opera legend. Rumors of him leaving his legendary Soap The Young and the Restless is absurd. That is just a speculation and rumor. You cannot have Young and the Restless without the legendary main characters of Y&R, Victor Newman and Nikki Newman. They are legendary. Always have a Soap Opera with the legendary Soap Opera veterans.
Victor is Young and the Restless, I love him so much. The show will not be if he leaves

Victor may not be leaving, but we have to accept the fact that he is getting older. And one date age may cause him to leave. I recognize his speech is slower and he is given less lines. His lines are short answers. I like him but I accept the fact that he won't be on as much or have a lot to say. Age catches up with all of us.

I agree he will be leaving some day maybe him and Niki will retire to some Island or they will have him pass away either way he will be missed terribly
I have been preparing for his departure due to his age, and many times imagined what his last scene would be. I will never, ever forget Jeanne Cooper's "Katherine's" last scene, speaking with Jess Walton "Jill" and then walking up the stairs to go to bed. I hope Eric doesn't leave shares his last scene with all his fans. I will not watch any longer if he leaves the show, and I have watched since I was 9 years old with my best friends great grandmother.

There’s no reason for Eric to leave...
But honestly, what needs to go is this dreaded once again revolving door of Shadam. Boooring. If they plan on removing the head writer, they need to do so, effective immediately.
This is the main reason why the Soap is losing it’s fan base at an alarming rate.
In the coming weeks, prepare for questioning affairs abroad Genoa, as relationships will be put to the test.
If VICTOR leaves NOAH should be the next best thing, he is smart, honest handsome, intelligent and takes life seriously

Plus, he isn’t or hasn’t had a storyline in quite sometime. He only pops up frequently.

Very disappointed with this move. Awful pair up of Jack and Sally, they DO NOT belong together. I love Theo, keeps the pot stirred, keep bringing him back. Sharon and the Adam thing, getting old. Move the story with Faith. Nick needs a better and MORE of a story-line. CHOP CHOP WRITERS :)

I wouldn't blame him if he did leave. I recently quit watching it. I've been watching it since it came on, and I have seen it hit writing lulls before, but it's absolutely pitiful now.

If they don't get their crap together to satisfy and remember their POPULARITY EXISTS SOLEY based through the loyalties and Support of their FANS, They are gonna be "Ended" and cancelled just as Guiding light and As the World Turns were! 1:43 I'm not really fond of Victor, but I like Eric. Last year when he collapsed on the floor in his office, tears came to my eyes and I almost started to cry. I don't want him off Y&R. Plus I think that poor Abby once more is getting the dirty end of the stick. I mean Jeez! She and Chance could have adopted a baby. If I were young enough and had money and a place of my own I would most definitely adopt a baby, I wouldn't care if the child was Biracial. I love children and would be a loving mother.
I believe Mr. Eric Braeden should be given more respect instead of being called Braeden, after more than 40yrs playing The same character Victor Newman.

Well if VICTOR leaves Y&R im going to stoo watching the YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Any way when VICTOR don't appear on some episodes Y&R don't seem the same.
