Wow, a shot-for-shot remake? I guess I will watch this! Though based on this clip, I'm not quite sensing "ice-cold assassin" from Redmayne the way I do from Fox.
There's def a bit of ice cold to Redmayne's character but he's human too. I've never seen the movie so I can't say how it compares, but he's not untouchable, and I like that abt the show. Makes the ice cold even scarier, bc you see him act like a guy with emotions and then in a split second act like someone completely different when he's got a job to do. Well worth the watch, imo
Redmayne stayed true to the character's diagnosis, but being a TV Series reveals to us more of the motivations and the way he relates to others: Likely DSM-5 Diagnoses Based on expanded traits from a TV series: 1. Old acting looks theatrical and typically lacks the nuances and subtleties of real human expressions and actions. Although this film may be an exception, to believe that old acting is better is simply wrong.
That's because he was probably concentrating on the exact moves he had to make and (pure speculation here) a team of checkers nagging the director as to every tiny detail that needed to be copied. It's a pretty good job though, and a very flattering homage to the original.
why didn't he sight his gun while looking down the scope in either movie? Even looks like the 1973 dude has actually shot a gun a few times.
