Cool. This is one I learned just by watching you do it. Didn’t really need a tutorial on this one. But I see others are struggling with it so I hope this helps them!
Great tutorial Eebee. I tried learning Blackhawk after seeing you do it on your earlier video, but couldn’t get it. After following your steps during this video, I’m already starting to be able to do it. With more practice, I should be able to do it with more control and consistency. I love how you include all of the little details that make it so much easier to learn correctly and avoid the common mistakes. 👍
I'd say it is mostly reliable. It's just more of getting that certain position which does feel "right" after practice and getting a good flick. Some factors can make it harder, though, like wind or if the structure of the card is weak/flimsy/worn out.
@@CardisTree I see. Thanks for replying. I watched this video a few weeks ago and today and honestly, I dont really get it. Managed to learn the top shot quite quickly as it feels more "consistent" I'd say. Still, this move of yours looks really good, just dont think I will ever be able to learn it as well as some other flourishy stuff
I will say it can seem quite luck-based for a while (I think it also took me a few weeks to learn, and I still mess up today), but I don't think it is quite "uncontrollable" (such as Hackysack by Dan and Dave). Honestly, I think it is very interesting how cardistry creators come up with moves like this (Blackhawk is by the Card Brothers on YT). Keep trying though (if you want), and good luck :)
Thank you very much I was looking for help with this movement and this video helped me a lot

Flashiest way to deal 52-pickup
Is this move reliable? Or is this a bit luck based?

@@CardisTree Yeah. Thanks a lot eh! You are a nice fella.
Do you do card tricks as well or mainly flourishes?
I mostly flourish, but I do know a few basic to intermediate card tricks that I do for family or friends.
