Dulcimer is a used sound for ambience. It's not made by any characters

Tbh this is the kind of horror I like. Not on the hose cliché horror noises, but actual WEIRD stuff that you can't even decipher what would make that noise. Tone is a pretty scary sound, especially because you're often wandering alone and in silence in bright corridors.

For some unknown reason, "noise" just sounds like a microwave to me, and it will always play in my head when I stare at something in the abyss witch I thought was scary.

Creepy sound is literally just breathing. Dulcimer sounds like if a person was playing a loud violin while driving a car at high speeds. Fret sounds like a chicken. Noise sounds like a radiant type noise. Tone is dulcimer but not as loud (also dulcimer is probably the scariest one for me, it makes my eyes water for some reason)

Theories on how and when would these sounds play
Creepy Sound
1° theory: a pant from the player, the player will run out off stamina in the worst case possible.
2° theory: a heavy pant from baldi, baldi is near and he's REALLY angry and will possibly catch you.
3° Theory: the school speaker, the principal testing the school speaker for whenever you get the 7° notebook
Dulcimer:
1° Theory: Uh Oh, Baldi just saw you and you didnt even notice him!
2° Theory: Baldi is near and you got no items!
3° Theory: Baldi got sweeped by Gotta Sweep and they're headed to you, RUN.
Fret:
The Only Theory: you have a higher chance of beating this game, as Gotta Sweep/1st Prize might help you!
Noise:
1° Theory: baldi is really far away, and he doesnt know where you are
2° Theory: Arts and crafters appeared at the end of a hallway, and wants you to follow him. Maybe it will lead you to a notebook!
Tone:
1° Theory: You just saw baldi at the end of the hallway and you ran out of bsodas
2° Theory: Arts and crafters will catch you, and you will have no items

i have a theory that these noises can be emitted by arts and crafters randomly when in sight or these were unused sounds meant for scrapped items and my last theory is that these were horror noises for whenever baldi gets mad at you for when you get a problem wrong or like indications for when he’s close that work like this: fret would mean you got away from him and now he doesn’t know where to go and is in a wander phase tone kinda works like a siren and means he’s getting really close noise would be a suspense noise for when you see him down a long hallway or when you trigger his spoop mode by making him angry creepy noise would be for when you get all 7 notebooks and dulcimer would be a sound for arts and crafters whooshing down the hall but it got removed

Bro I'm back from a year lol
I remember when i teleported all the characters to a Notebook room and put their velocity to 0 to not go anywhere and get all the sounds. So i started walking around the map and i got "Noise", Then a few moments "Creepy Sound" played. That sound scared the f out of me, 2 minutes later i got "Dulcimer" scared me again, few moments i got the same "Dulcimer" sound. I stared a long hallway and i got "Noise" again, when i finded a path "Tone" played, that sound make feel there is someone near me with that sound. When i was walking the same hallway i got "Noise" 2 times a row playing together! That's rare cuz 2 same sounds playing in a row and together, 1 minute later i got "Fret" noise in the distance that for me that sound is rare! Well that's all i say and got all the sounds. Tone : Telephone Hallway
Ambience : Only in the cafeteria
Creepy : Starting Area
Dulcimer : Only plays when arts and crafters is set to go to your location.
You can hear tone in the telephone hall only when you can't hear baldi slapping.
Won't it be so damn terrifying if "Tone" played when you're in a place like the cafeteria and all of the characters are very far away from you like all of them near gotta sweep's closet.

My theory:
Creepy Sound - Baldi's breathing becomes heavy and highly audible for a few seconds as a reaction for your failed answers or maybe he's cooling down after chasing you for while.
Dulcimer - An invisible ghost-like entity fastly moves past you and the others, the loud zooms of this sound represents the entity getting closer to you. This reason it does this is not specified, though, Baldi believes it's just the wind.
Fret - The Bully enters the map, and to alert the others, he makes a strange chicken sound.
Noise - Gotta Sweep is charging for a later attack, the pumps represent energy going into the broom.
Tone - A bored Arts & Crafters wanders the school for books in one of the hallways, while searching; the sock whistles a strange tune, which ends when it has finally found a book.
Ok the dulcimer theory is terrifying...

I was trying to get the secret ending in baldi's basics classic then "Fret" played and it scared the shit out of me. To this day, I have been always been paranoid because of this and sometime my mind tries to fuck me up and make me see think there's something more in front of me when there's nothing there.(the place I heard the sound was close to the broken light near the detention room)

Yeah, I used the mod menu and I cloned like 50 Baldis and dulcimer played.
I only heard Dulcimer once, one time when I was collecting a notebook. Also Tone sounds alot like the baldi anti hearing tape.

@@unickhthat's because the "Wandering" scriot for all of the NPCs are getting called more than once. This causes the entire script responsible for the ambience raise the chance of the sounds playing a lot more than with just rhe normal roster without any clones.

They can't, though. As none of the characters in both rooms have a Location Selector attached to them. The script in BBC only happens if there are Wandering Points in the school that the characters can choose.
